LaserAway Tribeca — Local services in New York

Believe the hype! After having my first Laseraway experience at the Tribeca location, am so IN LOVE w/ this place - it’s my new go-to!

Prior to my visit, had only vaguely been familiar w/ Laseraway through some my friends (and the many YouTube ads lol), who were raving about the company. So when my favorite/usual injector moved away to FL (😭), at the suggestion of a trusted friend, decided not give it whirl. From start to finish, the level of attention, expertise, and professional was nothing but FIRST CLASS!

My injector (Austin) was patient, attentive, and considerate; she prioritized listening to all my goals and used excellent precision ensure the results I wanted (which they were flawless!). She was also accompanied by a more senior injector, who, in collaboration w/ Austin, did an AMAZING job educating me on the procedure - their expertise was truly comforting and solidified my confidence in the company. Of course, I would’ve never even gotten to that point w/o first consulting the ladies in the front! They were beyond sweet, and JUST, if not at times more, as knowledgeable as the injectors and NP’s on Laseraway’s rolodex of employees.

Upon walking in, was lucky enough to be greeted by Michelle, who went ABOVE and BEYOND to accommodate me; she took me in, grabbed me a coffee, and sat me down to educate me on the roster of services, and consult me on them in relation to my needs. ASK FOR HER ALWAYS! Not only was she patient, and extremely knowledgeable on each and every service (she was so well-versed, she made me feel like an expert after haha), she is so SO fun and hilarious to boot. Plus, she is HONEST AF! She will always lead you in the right direction; she doesn’t shy away from expressing when she doesn’t believe a procedure is correct, nor does she push anything on you. Felt more like I was grabbing coffee and catching up with a girlfriend, instead of your typical, sterile consult. And her colleagues in the front were also truly awesome - Amera and Willow joined Michelle in making me laugh and calming my nerves before I was called to go in. Tribeca location is the BEST option for me, not only due to Austin’s great results; but also for the spirited professionalism from Michelle, Amera, and Willow; so highly recommend you make time for a visit.

This review is primarily for this company itself and how they are run, not so much the people i encountered at this location. i went to laserway for lip fillers after a friend recommended them. first off, they have you consult with someone on zoom and you have to buy the product/service BEFORE receiving it. i also asked if they could just do a half of a syringe because i didn’t want that much and the sales woman assured me that i can do a half and then save the rest to do at a later point - not specifying any time frame because that would have been a deal breaker for me. i later found out after my first treatment that i had a month to use the rest of what i had purchased or else i basically waste my money. i ended up going through with a follow up appointment and got another treatment done with what i had purchased but i still had a remaining .3 of a syringe left by the end, and i didn’t want to end up with lips bigger than i wanted. that’s a complete waste of money. that is $200 of wasted money, in relation to the cost of my full syringe.

Another issue I had was during my first appointment when my numbing cream was taken off my lips, but it didn’t feel like my lips had been numbed at all. I expressed to my nurse that the injections were hurting (and i came from a medspa where they insured you shouldn’t feel the injections at all) and she just brushed it off, not trying to accommodate to my comfort level, which I thought was unprofessional and made my experience not enjoyable at all.

If you’re thinking of going here, I highly suggest you just go to a medspa. Medspas will care more about you as a patient rather than you as a customer. my second nurse was lovely and made sure i was feeling comfortable; but the dismissiveness from my first nurse, the pushy-ness and the deception from the sales woman, and the fact that this company literally wasted my money was not...

Terrible experience. Unprofessional laser service, extremely high prices and slow customer service.

First of all the prices are ridiculous and very scammy. As you will notice they don't write down their rates on their websites - so it makes it hard to compare to other sites. This is because laseraway charges much more than similar laser clinics in nyc.

Second of all, the treatment I had and the followup was very unprofessional and badly done. If you have a negative experience their cancellation / refund process is extremely slow and misleading. I purchased my laser package as a "deal", around $2.5k for two large areas. Not only was this price already absurd, similar clinics in the area will charge ~$600 for two large areas for professional service, but when you cancel a package they do not refund you for your remaining amounts. Laseraway, after two months of trying to contact, wrote back saying that they would refund me with a "non promotional" rate. So even though I had only done a couple of sessions in the eight session package I was refunded less than 25% of what I had paid for.

Overall, for anyone thinking of using Laseraway, I highly encourage looking into other laser clinics in nyc. I have had a great experience with a new clinic - much better treatment, customer service and better prices. Do not do business...
