If I could title my review, it would be "Throw the whole store away"
I walked into the Spring St. Soho location on Dec. 11, 2023 to browse, because I really love the brand. I was dumbfounded by the lack of customer service. Literally, the associate that was right by door, as soon as you walk into the store on the 1st floor with shoulder length blonde hair, looked right at me when I walked in the door, but refused to say hello or even acknowledge my presence. However, I observed him greeting and saying bye to other groups of people that look like him. Racist maybe?
This behavior was echoed throughout each area and floor for women's clothing. I asked one associate, if there was more women's selections upstairs and he looked like he barely wanted to answer. It was forced and uncomfortable.
Then, as I was heading up the stairs, another female associate was about to head down, but when she saw me in mid-stride, turned around abruptly and avoided eye contact as I was walking in her direction smiling. At least she mumbled under her breath if I was finding everything ok, but it felt like she was in pain. My conclusion from that interaction was that she was at least recognizing me as a "sister", because she also appeared to be the only "sister" working that day from what I could see.
After that, I asked an Asian associate if she could confirm the price of a pair of boots for me, to which she replied "yeah" when I requested help, but when I found the price, she just turned away.
Everything from the racist AND rude dude at the very front entrance (with shoulder length blonde hair - check the employee schedule for Dec. 11, 2023), to the penthouse of this place was a nightmare. I felt uncomfortable from the moment I walked in, due to the lack of professionalism, never receiving a proper greeting, being made to feel like I was an inconvenience and the list goes on and on. It's a shame that in 2023, people of color and people in general have to deal with this ignorance and foolishness.
Like, aren't you tired of holding on to this unfounded, unjustified, imaginary hate that has been grandfathered down for centuries? You as the oppressor are the benefactor of the royalties that you never worked for or earned, yet you are racist against the oppressed. Please make that make sense! It's a NO for me AND please throw the...
Read moreOf all the flagship stores in SOHO, COS customer service is always the absolute worst. Most employees donât know anything about their product offerings, and worse, most of them are not helpful at all nor seem like they want to be there. Pretty disappointed given their online storefront is very premium.
Iâve visited multiple times too, and every single time, Iâve been completely ignored in the store. No greetings at all when you enter. When you need help, it seems like youâre inconveniencing the associate. associates will actively avoid eye contact with you and walk right past you, even if you blur out that you need help. They straight up ignore you. Itâs really bad. And itâs not just one person, it seems like their entire team doesnât know how to achieve customer service.
Honestly, fire the management of this store, and spend some real effort to finding good associates for this flagship store. This storefront is doing this brand no good. All negative to the point where I donât even want to buy their clothes online because of how low-class the brand experience is in person. If the company is this negligent on customer service, how can you trust them to manufacture quality material. No attention to detail here. And browsing other reviews, looks like this exact experience has been going on for 4+ years and continues till...
Read moreThis COS SOHO store has a sales who is RACIST !!!!!! (March 5, 2022 ďźA woman in full denim outfits) I was racially abused twice in a row today during my clothes fitting in this store. I was obviously first in line in the fitting room on the third floor of this store and when it was my turn, but the denim clerk called out to me directly, and then was particularly attentive to the white woman behind me, and I explained why I had been first, and she completely ignored me and kept letting the girl behind me in, and I said once again that it should be me because I was first in line, and she still ďźdidn't respond. Finally the white girl justly said that I had been in front of her, and the racist denim clerk let me in.
However, when I came out after trying on the clothes, she stood still and "ordered" her customer, me, to hang up the clothes on the hanger trolley, knowing that my hands were full of my clothes and my own jacket. I knew then that this was not an accident, but a real racism!
I've bought clothes at COS SOHO numerous times, and almost every time I come, I buy a lot of clothes, but it's the first time I encountered such an obviously racist sales clerk, which made me distrust the brand and even frustrated for...
