I really wanted to love this plant shop. I’ve owned plants since 2019 and it’s something I’ve felt super passionate about. As we all know, building a plant collection is super pricey, so I was thrilled when I stumbled on Dahing. I ordered a medium philodendron selloum. I kept it nearby a window with indirect sunlight and watered it accordingly. Gradually, the leaves started to turn yellow and the stems, mushy. I was not over watering it (I have the opposite problem as a plant owner where I probably don’t water enough), but I decided to prolong the watering time as it was spring and figured the soil just needed to dry out. However, this did not work and by the end of summer, the plant was nothing but a few stems even after I repotted it within only months of owning it. I even reached out to Dahing for support before it got bad, and they never got back to me. Feeling like it was potentially my fault, I gave them a second chance and ordered a medium monstera. It had new growths when it arrived, but shortly after a few weeks of owning it, the new leaves that opened started turning black. I’ve repotted the plant and treated it with insecticidal soap and the new leaves are still turning black at the edges and not surviving. Some older leaves have also started to turn yellow and brown, despite the plant being in a room with great sunshine and where other similar tropical plants are thriving. Again, I really wanted to like Dahing, but my experiences with them have been subpar to say the...
Read moreThe delivery man didn’t want to deliver to the freight entrance and called me complaining on a 5 minute rant about how hard his job is. I spoke to my security guard, and he said he was letting the delivery guy pass through to get to the freight elevator (it is accessible through our main entrance), but this delivery guy starting tossing the plants aggressively while giving my guard an attitude so he was told that his behavior was unacceptable in this building and if he was going to continue to aggressively toss around the plants, he cannot be let up. I emailed customer service with the aforementioned experience asking for a redelivery with a different person and the response i got was 'Hi Christine, thanks for reaching out
We only have one driver, I will reschedule the delivery for this Wednesday.
Warmly, Calvin ' No apology or any acknowledgement of the unacceptable experience, nor inquiry if Wednesday works for a redelivery. 0 accountability, compassion or basic customer service, just 'take it or leave it, so i chose to leave it and order from a company that actually cares about what they do as well as their customers. order from easy plant theyre amazing and worth...
Read moreMy experience with Dahing has been great up to my last purchase. I've visited and ordered from them for the past 3-4 years and most of the time the plants are delivered in excellent condition with no issues. My latest order came with a rose bush and it died within a few weeks of receiving it. I tried my best to revive it but had no luck! That being said, I reached out being upset about the purchase and because I was 1 day over the 30 day window in contacting them I received no replacement or refund offer but a 20% discount off my next purchase. Granted it's only a $15 plant but I would have thought that being a long term customer that perhaps they'd have some flexibility and leeway on shipping out a new plant or providing a credit/refund. NOPE. The marketing manager whom I was in contact with refused to offer any make up other than the 20%. Really frustrated with the level of service considering how much I've ordered in the past and also the fact that the plant delivered wasn't of the best quality. I'll be taking my business elsewhere...
