My husband Rob and I celebrated our wedding day on August 3, 2019 and wanted our first dance to be a memorable experience, not only for us but our guests. I had previously studied ballroom dance for over 5 years and was a competitive ballroom dancer many years ago. Rob loves to dance but did not have any formal dance training. When we were researching local studios for our lessons, I wanted to be sure that we chose a private studio and instructor since I knew what to expect from a ballroom dance experience. We found Kyle and Dance Reverie on "The Knot" and we were extremely pleased with the results. We took 17 lessons with Kyle and Rob learned basics of 4 dances which included our choreographed wedding Rhumba first dance. We also wanted to be able to dance to different styles of music throughout our wedding which we did. Kyle is a very patient instructor and is able to express analogies between dancing and every day real life experience to the client so that they understand not only the steps, the flow and patterns of a dance, but so the client can mentally process and ultimately feel the dance and perform it as simply as walking. We expect to continue to take lessons and learn more dance styles with Kyle now that our wedding is over because there is just no greater feeling than to express the beautiful art of dance with another as one. I give 5 stars and highly recommend Dance Reverie as your choice for ballroom dance lessons knowing that the private environment has the ability and flexibility to work with you and any possible limitations you may have for dance as opposed to the more commercial studios that have less flexibility with dance programs for you. Best Dance Studio ever! Kyle and Carrie are the best teachers! Originally we booked a class thru Groupon and were skeptical about classes because we thought we could probably learn from YouTube, but the fact is to really learn dancing, you need to take classes, and the way Kyle and his other teachers teaches will build a good foundation for all couples to ACTUALLY learn dancing, instead of trying to memorize choreography. My wife is a relatively good dancer but I never really danced before in my life. I remember my first few classes I felt like I had two left feet and I had no rhythm, but after the third class my muscles had adjusted and we were dancing on muscle memory. From there on it was easy to learn new moves and after learning Waltz in a few classes we decided to learn swing as well. Kyle and Carrie are really good teachers and they doesn't waste time talking during class and they often teach longer than we paid.

We really appreciate everything that Kyle and his professional staff taught us and we really impressed and wowed everyone at our wedding. Everyone was asking us where we learned our moves. I have attended many other weddings before and none of the first dances look anything as good as how Dance Reverie teaches. It is such a wonderful experience learning from Dance Reverie and it makes me sad that I am only getting married once because I want to take more classes!

My wife and I took about 10 dance lessons with Kyle and he was a fantastic instructor who made us feel confident from day one. We felt that his approach was extremely intuitive and practical, always with an eye on being realistic with goals. He was honest about not overcomplicating the dance based on his experience with couples and knowing that couples always get nervous and are susceptible to tripping up on the big day. Kyle prepared us thoroughly and his approach really paid off because our dance turned out fantastic and our mistakes were minimized and controlled.

As a teacher, Kyle was humorous and friendly, which put us at ease and helped us relax and focus. He was very patient and creative in his solutions to questions and issues. Kyle was also extremely flexible with his scheduling and ability to meet at hours and at a frequency that matched our busy schedule.

Thanks to Kyle, my wife and I were able to learn a beautiful waltz dance within a short period of time that we never thought we would've been able to learn.
