I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Dumbo Loft, a charming and versatile event space nestled in the heart of Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood. With its exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows, this venue creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for celebrating a memorable and intimate wedding.
The Dumbo Loft offers countless photographic opportunities, both inside and out. The interior's industrial chic design, paired with its abundance of natural light, provides a beautiful backdrop for capturing the couple's most tender and joyful moments. Just outside the venue, the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and the stunning Manhattan skyline set the stage for some truly breathtaking shots.
The team at The Dumbo Loft is incredibly accommodating and professional, ensuring that every detail of the wedding is taken care of. Their commitment to making the event a success is evident in the personalized service they provide to each couple.
As for the location, The Dumbo Loft is conveniently situated near various public transportation options and surrounded by an array of fantastic dining and entertainment options, making it the perfect spot for guests to explore before and after the wedding.
If you are considering hosting your wedding at The Dumbo Loft, I would love for you to take a look at the photos I captured at this unique venue. Read moreMy husband and I got officially married on Nov 15th 2013, but where going to have our wedding celebration on June 29th 2014. Unfortunately, with the sudden and tragic passing of my Father on May 15th, 2014 the wedding had to be moved to the following year. In the midst of all the funeral chaos, I had to contact the wedding vendors and beg them to give us credit for the amount we had already paid for the following year and a new date yet to be determined. All the vendors agreed, they where all wonderful except The Dumbo Loft. When I called and told Chris about what had happened, he said unless he can rebook the space, we can't get our money back. We did not want our money back, we wanted the date to be moved to the following year. To any date in June they might have available...but he said no. Then, my husband and I tried to reason with Chris, this is a business after all, and asked him if he could at least move the deposit or at least part of the deposit over to next year so we did not have to look for another venue and I can grieve my Father's death in peace....but he still said NO! I even emailed him a copy of the death certificate so Chris would not think that we are trying to pull a fast one.....but he STILL SAID NO! Thankfully, we found a clause in the contract that said that a $1,000 was due back to us for any rentals we might have paid if we cancel so we where able to get that back, but we are officially out $3,000. BUT! That is ok because we have a new place that we love, for the month of June, and karma is a, well,...
Read moreThis is regarding my experience as a vendor for Dumbo Loft Market. I've signed up to be a vendor 4 times. The first two were good, held at the original Dumbo Loft location. The venue wanted to then offer the pop-up every week (it was only held when the venue didn't have booked events), so they found a spot around the corner. I paid for two more days since I previously had a pretty positive experience. What was not mentioned was that the new location was basically a uncleaned garage with construction right in front, blocking foot traffic. It's not cheap to vend here ($150 per day) so the whole location change just felt like a money grab, that same day only half of the vendors showed up because no one agreed with the location. I brought up my concern, nothing was done, my emails were barely replied to. The worst part is that when I showed up to my final day (since I paid for two days) the pop-up was CLOSED. I emailed multiple times during the week to ensure the pop-up was still happening. I found it strange that they've been quite on social media and no one was responding to my emails asking them to confirm the pop-up was still on. Upon my arrival and the pop-up being closed (I checked both locations) I called, DM'ed, emailed, NO ANSWER. Luckily I paid with a CC so I was able to dispute but I have no heard anything since. Very unprofessional and unethical from a market that had so...
