NOT FREE! Bait and switch scam. Charged $125 after explicitly being told the test would be free.
They'll lie to you and say their tests are free and then charge you once you're at their test site.
I was traveling internationally and needed a PCR test. I went to FastLab’s website and messaged their support chat to confirm that a PCR test for travel will be free. I even confirmed if travel counts as being asked to get tested by a public health department because that's part of their policy and the support agent confirmed without a single drop of doubt. (See attached picture for proof)
Once I showed up to the testing site, the agents at the site told me I will have to pay for the PCR test and forced me to pay for the test I received. I was incredibly frustrated and reached out to support again, who told me they will request a refund. After weeks of waiting, I received an email saying I will not be refunded for the $125 test which I was promised would be free. I showed them my chat transcript and how I was very clearly told travel PCR tests are free, yet they still don't care and won't refund me.
They'll lie through their agents and their website just to get you to their tent and hope you're desperate enough to pay. Horrible...
Read moreWe don't live in New York but were visiting for a few days and needed to take a COVID test before our cruise. Fast Lab had great reviews online and was near our hotel, so we booked appointments online. When we arrived, there were only two offices on the third floor, which is where the website said their office would be, and neither office was for Fast Lab. A guy working at one of the offices said they had moved around the corner; we went to that address but we couldn't get in. There was a poster for COVID testing outside the restaurant next door, but there was no indication where you could go for the testing or that it was even Fast Lab. We even tried every floor of the original building (good thing there were only six floors), but no luck. After searching their website for over ten minutes, we finally found a phone number; the customer service person told us that they were no longer operating in NYC. If that's the case, why are they still allowing appointments to be made on their website?? Maybe they're back now, but I don't know that I would chance it. Find somewhere...
