Dollar General — Local services in New York

This place is terrible. A bad experience. First of all, I got treated bad when needed help. Second of all, when I was leaving the store, I was near a bag of candy that was open that I had not open. One of the employees later was like "hey hey," yelling at me to come back. I looked back and I saw the employee take the bag of candies, dropping some on the floor, and grabbed my hand tightly, opened my hand, and later put the bag of candy in my hands. And he was like, "You are going to pay for this and never come back, you understand?" I was like, "But I did not open this!" He was such an ignorant and repeated the same thing again. He made me get in line and went to tell the cashier woman. I waited on a long line dor a bag of candies that I did not open and was not full by the way because the man had thrown some on the floor. That was not fair. Later when I was at the cashier this lady was so disrespectful. When I handed her the bag of candies, she immediately snatched it from me, and after cheching it she threw it back to me and well as my change again dropping some of the candies...

This is my first time writing a review which I have not done so before, but I feel the need to because my experiences at this store are now negative. I have a strong feeling the review below mine was written by someone who knows the manager Jazmin because helpful is the opposite of how I’d describe her. Both her and assistant manager Daphne are unnecessarily cruel and rude to customers alongside myself and it is beyond me how they still have their jobs. I won’t speak for the employees, but I can’t help but feel the current work environment is toxic. Around a year ago, the employees who worked around that time seemed content and positive whereas now the current workers cannot seem to even crack a smile. For their sake and my sake as well, I hope something is done about both Jazmin and Daphne very soon because these two ladies have ruined the great work the previous Dollar General workers and managers put in to making the...

I love the convenience of this location and the variety of things that I can get if I cannot get it in other stores in the area. However, my only qualm is that I didn't see much sanitizing practices during my last shopping trips. I've been to this location twice since the pandemic and it's a pretty busy location but I thought they would've stepped up just a little bit more with sanitizing common areas like the counter after each customer and i did not. Notnsaying that after hours they're but during the times that i was there- roughly 20 to 30 minutes, I didn't notice anything. Otherwise the staff is cool and keep the shelves stocked and they get the customers in and out once the line gets too long. Just a little bit more work to be done to ensure that we're all slowing the spread and I'll be more than happy to give 5 stars because I always have a time when...
