We had an intake session over the phone in advance to discuss what I was trying to capture. We discussed the type of setting, backdrops, outfits, and what type of look I wanted the headshot to convey. Dorothy actively listened and then made suggestions and recommendations on what may enhance the look I was going for. I had not considered these ideas, but a professional like herself would know.

In addition to Dorothy’s fantastic photography skills, her approach and personality created a comfortable atmosphere, and her experience shined with the plethora of poses she had me go into. Since I needed to showcase different looks, at no time did I feel rushed or that changing my hair and outfit would impede the experience. Dorothy also would stop and show me what was working and which poses I could do better. She gave clear, concise directions and all the patience I needed until I got it right. Her turn-around time was faster than what other photographers were offering (24-48 hours) and there were more photos than expected to choose from. It made it easier to ensure the look I was going for was captured.
