Bloomingdale Library — Attraction in New York

I usually come here almost every day to use one of the computers for 45-minute to prepare my exam. It is said one person can use one session per day. There are 45-minute full session computers, and 15-minute express session computers.

Most staff are willing to extend time or add more sessions if there are still resources available, except one woman librarian.

One day I was trying to ask for a 5-minutes extension while there was still half an hour before library closed. She declined me, saying the library was closing. OK, I didn't want to push her to do more work, so I left.

Another day, the 45-minute computers were all occupied, and all express ones are available (there are 3), so I asked if I could get an express one extended to a full session. She declined me again, saying that is the rule. Also, she said because of the rule, I was not even allowed to use a full session, because I used a session on an express one.

My daughter and I love our neighborhood library so much. We come to our library every day after school. The free tutoring teachers work sincerely and diligently in guiding our children's after-school classes. I praise them with sincere respect and gratitude. All library staff are friendly and do their best in their respective positions. I wish there were more books and support at my local library, which many babies, children, and students use.
