DO NOT stay at this roach, rat infested establishment. They’re rude, liars & scammers. The rooms does not look like the images for 1. There was multiple roaches in my room and I was only able to catch 1. 2 rats in the hallway! I killed the roach & brought it right downstairs in a cup. The guy on the night shift (Chris) said that we could get a refund, we just have to bring the cup back down to the manager in the morning because he can’t issue it. Fine. We bring it downstairs & the lady (Tavere) told us the same exact thing. She said I could only get my $15 back because they personally charged me that. I recorded the interaction & left. I’ve been on the phone with Priceline for 2 days, ensuring that we get the refund. They finally call back to say that the hotel declined the refund because we stayed & never complained. The first person I spoke to (Chris) wrote it my booking reservation & I know that because the lady (Tavere) the next morning told me she saw it. They also gave me back my $15 service fee that they charged me upon arriving. If I never complained why would she give me back my $15? We also flew in so it wasn’t like we could just up & leave. They’re charging a $15 service fee when they don’t clean or make the beds. They give you the sheets for you to make it yourself. There was cups, plastic, hair, etc on the floor. I paid $360 for 1 night to be laid up with roaches & rats. Unprofessional, rude, liars. Save your money! You’re better off renting a car &...

Visited NYC with family and decided to stay in this hotel since it was within our budget. We purchased the hotel for 3 nights. Once we get to the hotel to check in I asked the clerk a few questions and was replied with an aggressive tone. Anyways, we were assigned a room for the next few days. Once my family and I make it to the room we began to unload our suitcases. I’m a movie fanatic so whenever I book a hotel anywhere I always scope the room for any creepy stuff cuz there’s creepy ppl out there.

While I’m looking around I notice this small item on top of the head board. I go up to it and I realize that it was a bullet from an ACTUAL HANDGUN.

I immediately gathered my family and went to speak to the clerk. I told the clerk what I found in our room and he giggled. I asked what was funny and he said it’s not common to find a bullet. I demanded to speak to a manager and there was no higher ups available. However, I asked the clerk how he can help and he didn’t react with a proper answer. I had to demand him to switch us rooms for OUR SAFETY. He expected us to enter back into that room and ignore what happened.

He switched us rooms after continuously asking him to. Shortly after the NYPD came and spoke to my family and I. At the end of the day the hotel didn’t acknowledge the situation professionally, didn’t grant us a refund or discount, nor did they provide us with any updates info.

A four star review is well deserved for what this hotel is. Do NOT expect a nice, fancy amenity-filled hotel. This is a clean, quiet place to sleep that meets your budget. Let's face it, you found this place because the price is lower than where you really want to stay. We live near the city, but planned to have a quick overnight and did not want to spend on a nicer hotel. PROS: very friendly staff, 2 bottled waters in the room, simple snacks given upon check in, Manhattan Diner (EXCELLENT) offers a 10% discount for stays at this hotel, quiet rooms (city noise was not heard at all), CLEAN sheets, nice pillows, CLEAN towels. Clean floors. This place is older- we were on the 10th floor and it looks cruddy- dirty walls, old carpet, and peeling wallpaper. BUT NO ODORS, NO BUGS. This place is like staying at an old relatives place. The bed was nice enough for 1-2 nights for sure. Our shower was NOT great, but not decidedly the worst I have had. I slept well and was able to shower. The fact that there was no odor and the sheets and towels were sparkling white and felt fresh, tells me they have excellent staff who make do with very old material. The front desk staff was very courteous and I really enjoyed the evening front desk clerk who checked us in. I would likely consider this for a single night use again. Value with a great location. Rooms desperately need a huge makeover. Ours had a hole in the floor right in front of the bathroom that they just put the carpet back over. The lamp beside the bed had no chain to turn it off we had to pull out the bed and keep it unplugged all week. The shelf in the bathroom was very narrow and didn't hold much stuff. The outlets were sketchy and I wouldn't feel good about them with a small child in the room The carpet, tub and radiator looked 40 years old. The bed was comfy enough and clean no bugs in the room but very ugly. Oh and I went to blow my nose in the Kleenex in the bathroom I'm guessing housekeeping sprays something in there but I almost puked when I put it to my nose it smelled horrible. I don't understand how anyone had anything bad to say about the staff they were very friendly every time we came in or left. Helpful with any questions we asked and holding our luggage before our room was ready and after checkout since we had a late flight leaving
