Extremely disappointed with our experience with center director Cesia Enamorado. The assistant director was very warm and nice, she gave us a welcoming tour. We were encouraged to join the waitlist and told summer typically sees openings.

We were initially considering moving to NJ (funny enough, we've since decided to stay on the Upper West Side, so this would have been perfect for us), which is why we specifically asked about transferring to another KinderCare location to see their flexibility.

However, Center Director Cesia Enamorado's subsequent behavior was completely different. After receiving only generic emails, she initially responded positively but then became unresponsive after she realized who we were lol. When we called to follow up, she contradicted everything the assistant director told us, claiming no summer openings would occur and spots would only be available in September - conveniently. She promised to send a waitlist link but never did.

Ms. Enamorado lacked the professional decency to explain her position directly - instead, she chose to "ghost" us after learning of our situation. This is completely unprofessional for someone in a leadership position at a childcare facility. Very unprofessional, and no decency.

We were particularly concerned with what appeared to be discriminatory treatment after mentioning our daughter would be coming from abroad with limited initial English. It felt like we were being deliberately pushed away once this information was shared. The stark contrast between "we really want to help out families" during our visit and the actual treatment was troubling. I cannot recommend this location based on our enrollment experience. Bright Horizons has shown a much more caring attitude by comparison - KinderCare has a lot to catch up on when it comes to customer service and...

UPDATE: Our son has been a KinderCare student for nearly 3yrs now and we continue to be impressed and delighted by the quality of care he receives and the loving attention the teachers and staff bring into the classrooms. Not only does KC have amazing lesson plans, they foster development through fun activities like weekly yoga and a music man. The genuine passion these educators have for helping our children grow is evident by my son's smile every day (he literally pushes me out the door and says "Mommy, go to work now"- HA!). Thank you, KinderCare, for being part of parenting journey!

ORIGINAL: Like most new parents, we were anxious when it came to finding childcare, but the professional and kind staff at this KinderCare location quickly put our minds at ease. It started with an overview meeting (via Zoom) with the center's Asst. Director, who was forever patient with our endless questions (both then and by email afterwards). Once we were enrolled, we had a "care and needs" meeting with our little guy's teacher, whose passion and commitment to the kids quickly shone through. We also love the app and the updates we get throughout the day as to what he's up to, including pictures and videos. The staff are all caring and fabulous, and our little guy is all smiles when we pick him up (and never upset when we drop him off). Even for the infants, there are 'lesson plans" and fun activities that tie to the monthly theme. Look no further if you're in search of an exceptional daycare - The Kindercare on the Upper West Side surpasses all expectations for children's care. My daughter has been attending Kindercare for the last year, and I couldn't be more delighted with her experience. Ms. Denise, her teacher in the Toddler class, along with Ms.Yanet, her assistant, symbolize  what it means to be extraordinary educators.Their compassion, thoughtfulness, and kindness shine through in every interaction. Ms.Yanet greets my daughter daily with a warm smile and a comforting hug, setting the perfect tone for her day.
