Dream Nail Spa — Local services in New York

Been here a couple of times and am officially done. Came today with an appointment for a pedi and still had to wait 20 minutes. Once I was taken, the nail technician was in such a hurry that she made my toe bleed while filing (imagine how aggressive that filing was!!). She was about to continue with the pedicure and I had to stop her to end the pedicure because that is unhygienic and dangerous — I couldn't believe she planned to continue given how filthy that is.

The woman who owns this salon has owned many in the neighborhood that I've patronized for years — around 5-6 years ago I wrote her a positive review, but as she has opened more salons, the level of service has gone SO downhill — no respect for the customer, and such careless service to the point of being a health hazard. And if you get her as your technician, be prepared for someone who will be on the phone and leaving you the whole time, making it take a lot longer — really bad service.

Just had a pedicure and a gel extension. Mary was rude. I am a pale woman and wanted a light pink color. I’ve never had this light color before but know it’s possible. We tried a few colors (paint and wiped off) and they all were too light. She kept laughing and shaking her head. She said “just do white” but that’s not what I wanted. I suggested white on bottom with pink on top. She laughed again. She went to paint white and then went to add a clear coat. I stopped her to remind her of the pink. After all is said and done, the pink was not even applied evenly. Sherry was wonderful! Very patient and kind and took her time. She was very attentive and detail-oriented.
