Iām really sad to write this review since I booked this place a month in advance. The day of my appointment I came in late since I came from jersey and the rain that day made traffic even worse. I was in constant communication with the salon about my destination. I came in 18 minutes late so I came in before the policy stated Iāll be cancelled according to the website. When I come in the nail tech tells me she canāt do my nails because Iām 20 minutes late.. I try working something out and we did, she told me to come back at 3 or 3:30 I had an appointment booked at 4 near the area so I called so they can take me now and they did. I told her to give me a 10 minute notice so I can make sure Iām on time. She text me exactly at 3:30 to go right now. I said give me 10 minutes because you didnāt give me a warning and I said I will have to go to my next appointment and you said ok. I took a taxi from one avenue to the other so Iām not late. Again in NYC lots of traffic . I didnāt even let my lashes dry so I can make sure I make it. I even put the phone on loud when I was in the taxi because it said 10 minutes. The lady on the phone said she canāt do anything about it and wanted me to pay the cancellation fee which was over 100 dollars which was the service. I said just change the design at this point because I refuse to give that fee with all the traveling Iāve done all day to work with them. My nails started lifting day 3. By the time my trip was done I had no nails left. The service was done in 20 minutes. It was rushed, not good and just the atmosphere was disappointing. They would speak with other customers when they came in and when I came in they didnāt even look at me or say hello. I wonāt be coming here since I didnāt even feel welcomed regardless of me being kind, apologizing for how the day went and never having an attitude and also being a new customer. Rina did an amazing job and I was so happy, but a few things happened that make me apprehensive to come back. First off no one introduced themselves or explained what was going on because one moment a woman was taking my old polish off, and the next moment another woman was putting the new nails on. I was sort of put off with the lack of communication by the first woman, but not the biggest deal. Then it came time to pay. I made sure to bring a cash tip because they mention in the email they prefer that, and the first woman that worked on my nails asked ācash or cardā, and I said card. She seemed annoyed by my answer and after I paid and gave my cash tip, the first woman told me to ānot forget to pay in cash next timeā. I felt so embarrassed and awkward that I just said sorry, but it makes me not want to go back because i never carry cash with me. Plus, the grand total was more than the estimated amount which is fine because they mentioned the prices are just estimates, but that also means that I have no idea what the total cost will be. No where on the website does it mention cash only, Iāve scoured reviews to see if someone else mentioned they only want cash, and she even asked ācash or cardā. She made the appointments, fit you in when there was a problem. She knew customer service and how to run a Business! Then she stepped away and Sandra ran the Business and was the main Nail artist! That's when things changed. There weren't enough Nail artists, you had to make an appointment a month in advance! If you had to reschedule you were out of Luck. Sandra got Greedy and made sure she was booked, back to back every day! They were always overbooked. 6 weeks ago, a new girl removed my polish and completely ruined my nails after spending thousands of dollars over 3 years. I called to complain and they had no openings for Sandra to fix them! I got a call at 9:30 to come in at 11:00 , one day 2 weeks later! Sorry I needed more time. When I finally went Sandra had another client and Gail soaked my nails and destroyed every nail I have. She did her best but they were beyond repair after they were ruined 6 weeks ago and I was unable to get an appt for them to be fixed. I sat in the chair 2 1/2 hours and left with stubs for nails that were broken and glued. They hurt from so much filing it will take forever for them to be normal again.
