I went to return an Amazon packageâŚAmazon said all that was required from the customerâs end was âA BOXââŚwhen I went to return the package, in its original packaging box, the employee repeatedly refused to accept my return and made me pay for additional âboxingâ - which the Amazon app made perfectly clear, would not have been necessary. Quite literally, that is the exact reason I chose this return option to begin with from the other options, which all explicitly stated a label would be required at an additional cost.
After some time of communicating this discrepancy nicely with the employee, he still refused to take the return because âthe box was brokenââŚwhen, in fact, all that had been done to the box was the initial opening of the flap from the manufacturerâs boxâŚstill intact.
By the way, the irony in all of this is that, after I finally caved and paid for the âboxingâ, they took my item to send for return, just as isâŚ
I understand that sometimes there actually IS absolutely nothing they can do to help (or amend requests that are straight up unreasonable), but this was an unacceptable lack of reason or willingness to help, in a case where even a 5 year old child would have been able to do so. To make matters worse, the UPS Store is claiming they have no responsibility since it's a USPS package, even though they didn't communicate this clearly when I initially used their service. They also lack proof of handing the package over to USPS. My experience at the UPS Store with their unprofessional staff member named Sangh was extremely frustrating. I entrusted them with an overnight USPS package, for which I paid a substantial total of around $140. However, according to the tracking information, USPS hasn't even received the package yet. This was an extremely important document, and the UPS Store's mishandling of it has caused me significant stress and inconvenience. During my visit, it took Sangh an astonishing 45 minutes to create a label for two envelopes, even though I had provided the address on paper and had to correct it multiple times. This level of inefficiency is unacceptable. [(Review of December 2023)] AVOID THIS LOCATION IF YOU CAN DURING HOLIDAY SEASON. It's so busy!! Also make note of the strict LIMIT of 5 Amazon returns per customer per day at this UPS Store. The other UPS stores few blocks away do not have this limit.
