I paid about $90 for a horrible gel mani & pedi. Not complaining about the price, but service was horrible. Started with the pedicure. Before he started I told him I had band aids. He said “okay okay okay” yet continues to press on the band aids. He didn’t even give me the chance to even tell him I didn’t want him to touch my legs. My wounds are still fresh & I am in a lot of pain. Next comes the manicure. I showed him a picture of the design I wanted as soon as I sat down. He says “okay okay” yet doesn’t deliver the design. He tried, but failed & says sorry. I asked him if anyone else can do it. He doesn’t understand so I ask him again. He calls the “owner” I don’t even know what he said to her. Hangs up & is yelling, calling for someone else to come. I showed her the design (one evil eye on the ring finger) & she shows me some snowflake stickers & says it’ll be free. Side note: it’s November. I asked her if I could find a simpler design because my nails are literally a clear color. She also says okay & then leaves to attend another customer. I pulled up a picture of some very simple stars & asked for gold, the original guy says ok & then starts to paint my nails black? I ended up saying it’s ok I don’t want a design. Going to check out now.. I paid with card. I was wearing my jacket & then was going to get cash but he tells me “tip in cash or card” so I felt obligated to tip on card. I felt so horrible & low. My nails & cuticles feel so dry. There’s polish all over my skin. Yet I was still going to tip in cash, but he demanded it? What I don’t understand is why he would agree to a design he knew he couldn’t do. I traveled 45 minutes for the worst nail experience ever.

I never post reviews, and this is going to be my first one. I called beforehand to inform about acrylic removal and regular manicure. They confirmed that they do it. I walked in, and they assisted me quickly, though at first the lady said $33, but on call she said it was $29, but we settled that. Later on, as she was removing my acrylics, she was complaining about how hard it is to remove them and that I shouldn’t do it the next time. This is really unprofessional and rude because I am paying for the service, and I even called to inform you that this is the service I would want. After she finishes removing my acrylics, midway she says that I should go pay before she continues with the service which is so disrespectful because no other nail tech was doing it to their client. And when she saw me get up to go pay because I didn’t want to question or make a scene out of it, she just said, No, it’s okay, pay later. I felt extremely discriminated against throughout the whole experience because she wasn’t even doing it right, and she had an attitude the whole time with me. Before applying the regular nail polish, she didn’t perform the right cuticle care, like removing the dead skin around it. She literally half-assed the job. I would not recommend coming here since this is how they treat their customers. I regret not walking out halfway because of how disrespected and discriminated I felt throughout this whole time. They don’t even care to acknowledge their Google reviews or do better because clearly they just copy-paste and then add it to ChatGPT, which they’re going to do to mine too, which says a lot about them.

Michelle is amazing. I travel a half hour to get my nails done by her the last year and every time I’m not disappointed. I’ll show her some inspiration and she’ll create some beautiful pieces of art every time. These bad reviews are not a representation of the work she does. She Carries her whole business all by herself. Yes a Tik Tok that goes viral is sometimes great for business but when the business is not set up for all of a sudden a huge surge of people and business for her to maintain. Especially after opening her business during the pandemic. Think before you leave a negative review, on the impact that has on a small business. Always book Michelle, have some patience and understanding. If you’re not happy because you booked someone else then understand why. Sometimes at small businesses such as these there’s only one person that has the real talent to create beautiful nails. I will continue to go back to her as finding someone this talented with a great price is hard to come by in Manhattan. As is for her to find workers to do the same. That takes time. Thank you Michelle for always making me look flawless and bringing my nail dreams to life. You’re one of the best nail technicians I’ve ever had and constantly consistent. Can’t wait for your business to grow into something special however long that may take. I see you Mumma bear taking care of the family and your kids and going out on your own and in a few years time can’t wait to see where you’ll be. Love your number one fan xx

Really frustrating experience. First time there and won’t be returning. I called before going to see if they had time to do a gel tip set. They were closing in two and half hours so I wanted to make sure. The woman on the phone said yes and to come in. I was nearby and could arrive in ten minutes, which I did. Once I arrived there seemed to be a misunderstanding. The woman said she thought I meant a regular gel manicure. I clarified that I had said “gel tips.” I could tell she was annoyed as she started raising her voice to a woman I believed to be named Michelle. It was a very awkward moment. I asked if they still had time. Both women just told me to sit and wait and that someone would be with me shortly. About ten minutes later a different woman asked me to come sit in a chair and helped me pick out a color. I believed this to be the start of my manicure. I picked out a color. She then began giving another customer a pedicure. Nothing was communicated to me. I then waited for another 20 mins. I started to debate if I should leave. Then a different woman came up to me and said that Michelle is the only person who can do the set but that she’ll be done with the current customer she was with shortly. I asked if they were sure she’d have time. I was going to leave, but this woman said it wouldn’t be long. I then waited for another 40 mins. It had been an hour in total at this point. Michelle finished with that customer and then began to see another customer who had been waiting. I was unaware she was waiting for Michelle to fix her manicure that she had previously gotten. Thats when I decided to leave. At that point it was 8pm and they were closing at 9. Michelle said she wouldn’t be long it just be 40 mins longer. I said “I understand but it’s already been an hour.” Her response was apathetic. I left. Really poor communication and honestly felt like I was being strung along. I saw a few reviews on here that appointments are basically useless. I wish I had seen that sooner. I heard one employee tell someone on the phone to come now because no one was waiting and that wasn’t true. Truly frustrating and a...

Edited review after reading salon’s response because they are accusing me of not showing up.

After my original 1 star review, I got 3 missed calls and a voice mail at 10PM on a weekday from the number associated with this salon. I suggest you do not call customers who already had bad experiences with your service at 10PM on a random weeknight as it is unprofessional.

I originally picked this salon because I saw a lot of positive reviews here on Google and also on TikTok.

My two friends and I showed up to the salon at exactly our appointment time and told the employee at the front desk that we booked online. She seemed busy and I did not see her check the system so we just told her what service we wanted. My two friends were getting regular pedicure and I got gel pedicure. The employee at the front desk was exasperated that she had to explain to us the prices of the services we were getting and was mildly rude about it.

When we got sat in the chairs, two or three other employees kept asking what service we wanted when we had already explained it. It’s not that hard anyway: two regular pedis and one gel pedi.

The male employee who did my gel pedicure was fine but the female employee who did my friend’s regular pedicure rushed through the whole thing, was rough and also spoke rudely. When she was finished with my friend she wanted the friend to go sit at the drying station. My friend said okay and was clearly gathering her coat, scarf and bag. The female employee exclaims, “Hey! Girl! Over here!” pointing to the drying station. Very rude. Staff should be taught to address customers by “miss” or “ma’am”. Also there was no need to rush because I saw 2 or 3 other empty chairs.

My gel pedicure was a $66 (with 15% tip) and it’s already uneven and peeling.

Conclusion: expensive, bad customer service, poor...

I do not know what happened to this nail salon but after going here for several years I will NEVER return. I went for a mani/pedi. I did not realize the pedicure was poorly done until it was too late, including polish on my skin, 3 our of 10 nails not cut and barely filed to a shape, and the nails that were cut - it is painfully (literally) short.

Now comes the manicure. I asked the woman to cut 1 nail that had a snag and file the rest. She proceeded to cut ALL 10 nails before I could stop her and filed the nails so short that the nail is below the skin line and there is little to no white. Also the nails were several different shapes - squared (which is what I asked for), rounded, filed straight across and who knows what else. After telling her to stop several times and getting push back and excuses on why she did this hack job, she walked away and I'm sure talked about me. Apparently SQUARE and SHORTER sound the same? After sitting for 20+ minutes, I had one woman start and stop after I refused to allow her to paint my nails and another woman do a hack job on cleaning up my cuticles. She trimmed my cuticles without resoaking them or properly pushing them back despite the fact that I said they hadn't been soaked in 20 minutes. I refused to pay for this abomination and spent another 20 minutes trying to sort this out and them resorting to calling the owner so I could explain why I refuse to pay.

This is painful - my fingers hurt in the same way they would hurt if you tore your nail below the skin line. My biggest hope now is that I don't develop nail infections. Eventually my nails will grow enough to so I can have them redone. I will also need to go somewhere else to have my pedicure fixed.

It is clear that they no longer hire trained or knowledgable individuals. do...
