Avoid F45 West Village: Fraudulent and Incompetent

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with my recent experience at F45 West Village. After my wife found out she was pregnant, she emailed the studio to cancel her membership. They acknowledged her email, congratulated her, and wished her good luck. When they asked when she might return, she responded that she wasn’t sure but hoped to rejoin in the future.

Over the years there has been constant turnover in staff and poor management, which has led to ongoing billing and staffing issues. Despite acknowdling my wife canceled her membership due to her pregnancy, they continued to charge her large amounts through autopay.

When we discovered this on our monthly statement and contacted the gym, they refused to refund the charges. It's hard to tell whether they are unethical or simply fraudulent. Either way, this is unacceptable.

I strongly advise anyone considering joining F45 West Village to reconsider. Their dishonest practices and lack of accountability are both unethical...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

F45 is an incredible workout (I've worked out here for over a year) but I would avoid F45 West Village and choose a different location under different ownership.

Billing at this location is an absolute nightmare -- overcharging, not cancelling memberships properly, refusing to refund clients when they've been wrongly charged. The gym closed several times because of leaks and they continued to charge customers even though classes were not even offered! It was a nightmare to get refunded. When I went to cancel my membership, they decided (without my permission) to place a freeze on my account and begin charging me a few months later. Getting my money back has been an abhorrent process and is something I am still dealing with today.

F45 WV has been an instrumental part in getting back into my workout and health routine. The facility is clean, welcoming, and approachable, even for newcomers like myself. The trainers are truly fantastic- they get to know your name, your background, your goals, and they push you to do better each and every class. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at F45 WV (and even the special guest trainers that make appearances from out of town). F45 also cultivated community, which is so important and appreciated by all that enter the door.
