This pizza place is exactly what I thought of when I thought of NYC thin crust. The restaurant is small, but boy, there are delicious things inside. The staff was nice and helpful - they allowed us to get different "flavors" on each pizza - like half and half of things. We got a salad with beets and goat cheese and it was fresh and clean and yummy. We also got the bacon jam crostini - and the only 2 words you need to know in order to purchase this are "bacon" and "jam". I ordered a margarita and boy, was that drink potent! My friend who ordered a drink also agreed the bartender had a heavy handed pour because we were tipsy before we finished. The flavor of the drinks were okay - I probably wouldn't get a mixed drink again, but I don't think you go to a NYC thin crust pizza place for the mixed drinks. My group ordered 2 pizzas - one that was half meat lovers and half parma, the other was the formaggio blanca and half mushrooms. The parma and meat lovers was so good - (that's the only one I tried) - I actually took some of the parma home to eat at the airport the next day! Delicious even cold. Definitely...
Read moreI love this place and it's a standard every time I return to NY. I first discovered it because it was a neighborhood spot. I lamented not living closer to other famed thin crust places like Grimaldi's (back in the day, now not so much) so decided to give this place a try. I was amazed. The thin crust is as this as you can get, literally cracker thin and fits my definition of a perfect NY crust: thin (of course), crispy, cracks when you fold it but doesn't break, and stands up to the toppings when lifted. The toppings are on point too, though sometimes a little salty / intense (ahem meat lovers, but I get it anyway), and the pies have gotten a little smaller over the years (they used to fill the whole tray). Everyone should visit this place and it will become the pizza standard by which you judge all...
Read moreI walked miles in 15 degrees to get some of this pizza as I’ve never been here before and it was worth it! I got the millionaire bacon, chicken parmigiana and basil slices. I can’t remember the exact names but I’m pretty sure it’s close. I love how it’s actually a “thin” slice and not a lot of breading. When I first opened the pizza box, it didn’t look tasty or appealing but once I bit into it, it was so damn good. The sauce and the thin breading were evenly balance and thats a good sauce. I love how the millionaire bacon wasn’t stingy with their bacon and they loaded that pie up with bacon! I didn’t get to try the chicken parmigiana b/c I gave it to a homeless man walking up to me but I’m sure that would’ve been bomb too! Anyways, you won’t regret eating here, I...
