It took me 4 months to get the office to schedule a critical surgical procedure. A woman named Tina is in charge of scheduling. I left her numerous unreturned messages. She scheduled my procedure twice without telling me. Once it had to be canceled because I was out of the country. Once I moved everything around only to have the procedure canceled by the hospital because Tina never verified my insurance. Everyone in the office is afraid of Tina. Picture that! She's a person in charge of coordinating surgical schedules, yet she is the most incompetent staff I've ever had to deal with and everyone is afraid of her. They can't tell her she is failing at her job because (and I quote) "it won't be pretty." The office rarely answers the phone. I saw a woman walk in asking why she was charged thousands while having insurance that the office takes as "in network". There was dried blood on the furniture in the exam room. I was never able to get the doctor to call me back with my results. In fact, I am now in full menopause because my doctor never acted during the critical window of prescribing me HRT and brushed my symptoms aside. I've been in agony with symptoms for two years and they dismissed them. After months of trying unsuccessfully to get my care I asked repeatedly that Dr. Guirguis called me. Never got a call. This office is a threat to women's health. I saw pregnant women getting their care there. I can't imagine being pregnant and in the care of these negligent incompetent physicians and...
Read moreThey worked very hard to give me the birth I wanted, and it was a wonderful experience. They are progressive in terms of natural birth and respecting wishes for no interventions as much as possible. The only thing to flag was that Guirguis snr had a somewhat man splaining bedside manner because I had a doula, and he was very cautious and warned me that doulas aren’t doctors. I said I understood and that was that. I found out later that he lost a patient once because her doula had advised her differently than the doctor, and this ultimately led to her death. I therefore considered his weariness about doulas to be in the patients best interest. I was also high risk (44) but I had a completely uneventful pregnancy and natural birth, no epidural, no inducing, no c section, but I did end up having the ventouse vacuum thing because my son was 9lbs 2oz and I had been in active labor for hours and was running out of stamina. Ended up having an episiotomy and third degree lacerations which required stitches but they worked so hard to follow my birth plan. This was in 2015. Also they took on a friend of mine who had no insurance and was low income. I believe they reserve a portion of their practice to pre natal women who are not insured, and they did not charge much per visit. Not sure if they deliver for those patients (she went to her home country to give birth) but this is a form of giving back to the community that most medical...
Read moreI went to this office some time in late 2015. The doctor's were okay but I ended up getting new insurance and had to switch practices. It is now March 2019 and I am getting a bill for the first time and says if I don't pay I will be sent to collections. I am shocked to be receiving this bill after so many years. The staff was extremely rude and careless and refused to understand the audacity of sending this statement after so long. When I tried to explain my concern to Cara the billing manager she was very dismissive and said that it is not the office's responsibility to tell me I have a copay at the time of service. Furthermore she said they don't even know what the copay amount is at the time of service and DID NOT tell me i was going to be receiving a bill either ESPECIALLY almost 4 years later. I will never recommend this...
