Love this place. It's a completely new location so everything is brand new and perfect right now. They still seem to be getting inventory in. It does seem like the space will eventually be larger then now because half of the floor is blocked off still. I can see them adding additional shelfs and racks towards the back of the store.
The decor is really nice. The walls scream Five Below which is great, logo and color scheme throughout. They have an elevator which helps individuals with disabilities or someone traveling with a stroller, etc. There is only one set of steps to come in and out. I can forsee that being an issue on busy days. Especially because Five Below has a huge floor that can probably accommodate 500+ more people at any given time. I can't wait to see how it looks in the summer. Summers on Fordham rd are too hot to handle.
The staff members are really friendly. Most of them seem to be fairly young. But they are all knowledgeable about the inventory of the store. I was able to have multiple people point me into the direction of the items i was looking for. One item i wanted was sold out and a staff member was able to recommend and point me to a similar product they did have in stock. I love it here. They make you feel so welcomed. They are approachable as well. I hope it remains that way. As i mentioned, Fordham rd is NO joke so hopefully they are ready to deal with the type of personalities.
The store itself has alot of products so far. They have all the Easter stuff out right now. They have shirts. Jewelry. Toys. Beauty products. Candy, LOTS of candy. Work out equipment. Sports equipment. They havent gotten any tech items in yet so I'm patiently waiting for that. They have a nice section with activities and games for everyone.
Overall i really like this place. I can't wait to...
Read moreI went in to buy some things last week. First, while I was looking for a screen protector, I asked for help to look for an Iphone XR protector. the worker went on to taking my phone, taking the case off, and examining it accusing me of having a fake iphone (he did not know what an iphone XR was). I then had to take my phone back because that was a very weird experience. Then, I picked up a few games/toys and at the register i gave a $100 bill to make my purchase. The cashier proceeded to hand me my change, and 4 $10 bills were fake money. I am a cashier, and I KNOW what fake money looks and feels like. I asked the cashier to switch out those $40 with real money and she denied it being fake. then they checked in the cash checking machine, and it beeped loud because again, they were fake. she went to another machine and again it beeped. then she called her manager, and i expected to have some justice but boy was i wrong. the manager proceeded to do the same exact thing and deny it being fake. The whole time, both workers were being so rude and kept on saying unnecessary stuff, all because i asked them to switch out the fake bills. then i got tired of their unprofessional nonsense so i asked them to take back their merchandise and money, and i wanted my $100 bill back. they were SO reluctant to give it back. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life, and it is wild that they have fake bills to give back as change, and that they tried to lie in my face. Do...
Read moreGreat store for different types of stuff at a generally good price. I have bought snacks, candy, treats, etc. I have even managed to find some nice articles of shorts, shirts, flip flops, and dresses there. They also have beauty supplies, school supplies, some exercise equipment, electronics, beach equipment, etc. You do your own self check out, so there aren't really any long lines. I really like it, it is a great store.
However, the only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars was because if you want to call a store "Five Below", then everything in the store should cost $5 or less. And unfortunately there are products that cost more, I was even surprised by an exercise equipment at check out, that didn't have a price tag, that ended up costing me $8. I know that is not expensive, but I would have appreciated knowing the price...
