Where do I start? My Fiancé purchased a pair of shoes for me a few days ago AT this location. I changed my mind about the shoe and decided to return.
On 11/7 at around 8:30pm she visits this store to make the return. I just so happened to be on the phone with her listening to her interaction with the employees at this location.
Before she could finish her sentence she's told by Leticia "the system is down, there is nothing we can do for you." As personal trainers we purchase A LOT of sneakers and I for one knew there was a 99.9% chance that this system outage was actually true. Leticia tells my fiancé to go to another Footlocker store nearby to make the return.
As my fiancé walked to the second Footlocker location, (which took about 40 minutes between Leticia wasting her time, walking to the new location and waiting to be assisted) I called this store asked for a shoe size to be put on hold to pay with card. Then I was certain there was not a card problem after all, at least not to TAKE my money.
After being passed around like a hot potato on the phone with what sounded like bickering prankster kids passing the phone back and forth on the other side. I finally ask for the manager and got on the phone with someone who could articulate a full sentence, John, confirmed that card payments were not a problem. So I wondered.
What was THE PROBLEM? What is gained by deliberatley wasting peoples time? Using cheap and tasteless tactics to meet the quotas and revenue margins. Ya'll saved yourself the return. Congrats. The way this business is being handled/managed is consistent with the quality customer service given by the hot-dog stand guy down the street. I spoke with a girl on the phone asking if I can return shoes, one shoe being completely smaller than the other shoe, which was defective. I asked her if I can return without having the original box since I got sold something broken. I know it’s common to return it with the box, I get it but the shoes were a gift to someone and they told me one shoe was smaller it was a struggle and really uncomfortable for them. When I bought the shoes I even looked at the tag to see if both were the same size (10.5). I shouldn’t have to but just in CASE. I wasted almost 100$ for NOTHING, all down the drain and that’s hard work money. When I made my way to the store and I entered in the guy there told me no I can’t return them. I had a very positive experience on Sunday evening they were three different employees who were very helpful very polite and one in particular who was just awesome and so patient with me extremely helpful overall and that was Angel C. then there was a young lady Genesis M. who greeted me at checkout she asked me right away if I found everything I needed and offered me extra suggestions because one of the sizes were not available in the store. Last but not least Aniyah R. who helped my husband. We were both very pleased with the service it's been a long time so we wanted to give props where it was due.
