I really don't want to write this 5 star review because I want to keep a great hairdresser to myself. I mean, who wants to show up to an appointment and be responsible for creating their own longer wait time? However, it's April 2020, I've been stuck inside for a while due to social distancing, and I looked into the mirror and realized my hair looks pretty great even though I haven't had a cut since early December. And it's all Ronald's fault. Also, from experience, I know it's still going to continue to look good for months after. I used to live out of state, visit Chinatown once or twice a year, and I'd often wait as long as possible to get my hair cut because I was holding out for my favorite hairdresser.

For reference, I have long straight hair.

As another reviewer mentioned, make an appointment but expect a wait, this place is cash only, a wash is included in the price of a cut, and be sure to tip whoever...

I’m sad to share I had a pretty traumatizing experience at this salon. I came in for a wash and cut, the lady took me for my wash and as she’s drying my hair, she shows me this wad of hair that she’s pulling from my ends and more hair was coming out.

I get my hair washed at other head spa salons pretty regularly and have never lost this much hair after a wash. I was in complete shock and she tells me it’s bc my hair was long… I’m drying my own hair now and more hair keeps shedding at an Alarming rate. I turn to the other stylist and said my hair has never fallen out like this, what kind of shampoo do you use and the stylist Ronald says ‘idk’ and points to the floor and i felt very dismissed as there were 4 other people at the salon and they continued to ignore me as Im in shock...

Been coming here for years. Ronald is very good. Only complaint is the wait sometimes.

Update 2019:

I stopped coming here and strongly oppose this place for anyone considering for two main reasons:

1. Ronald does not adhere to schedules. One time I scheduled for 6pm. I walked in at 5:45 and he proceeded to seat another person while acknowledging me. I have referred five long term customers to him.
2. he cut my neck several times in one haircut. No apologies. No ‘on the house’ haircut. No reduced rate. I was on my way home and had blood on my collar. I had flinched several times during the haircut and he still continued.
