This deli is usually very clean, with a great selection and the staff is very friendly and accommodating, accept for one very nasty, rude and disrespectful young man. He's about twenty or so years old, short dark hair, slender built, and is easy to spot because he refuses to wear a mask. When expressing concern for the health and safety of both myself and the other customers due to the rapid spread of omicron, that he needs to put on a mask, he said "I don't need to". When in fact it's a New York City citywide requirement that all workers in the public service industry practice COVID-19 safety protocols. These requirements are especially essential as we are in the mists of another wave. People are still getting sick, there are break through cases, and children are in the hospital, so because of all that said, YES he does need to wear a mask. When calling him out on this, he took what was going to be my purchase and insisted I leave the store. As long as he's at the register without his mask but with his attitude, the pleasure is all mine. For now on, I will not patronize this shop upon seeing this self entitled maskless infant standing behind...
Read moreI ordered paper towels as well as another item from them. This is the second time they substituted a much cheaper paper towel without contacting me or refunding the difference. When I reached out through seamless for a refund for the difference they said they would give me the refund, great! I just don't want to pay premium prices for sub-quality products. Then I get a call from the restaurant saying they wanted to come pick up the paper towels because they gave me a full refund for them. So now I have no paper towels at all, which was the whole reason for the order, and apparently a full refund for items means I am unable to leave a review on seamless. I would have been fine if they just called to say they were out and refunded me the difference in price or refunded the price difference after but now I have to tip a delivery driver from another store, losing more money, or just not have paper towels for a few days when we're doing our thorough...
Read moreI don't know what it is with these hispanic owned delis not having Italian sandwiches on the menu. An Italian sandwich is a staple delicatessen food. They have over 70 items on the sandwich, and it's like reading cuneiform script when you look at the menu, but none of them are Italian. Even worse, they have the ingredients to make the sandwich but its just not on the menu. If you ask them to make you an Italian, they get confused and act like they don't know what you're talking about. At least have the knowledge of the sandwich and be able to make it off the menu.
You know what's the crazy thing about it? They have an Italian sandwich in the hot/pressed section of the menu... Who wants to eat a pressed Italian sandwich?? That's just a panini that's going to taste bad in 15 minutes. I ended up ordering it and just told them not to press it and add lettuce and mayo. Boom Italian sub. It tasted pretty good. I was happy with the...
