Thereās no reason to order from this place. They are extremely inconsistent. They forget things from the order all the time, they charge inconsistently. And thereās plenty of other competitive Thai places that are much better and also less expensive. They do have a soup that I like that I canāt really find anywhere else, so I was ordering from there pretty regularly. My partner ordered fried rice with pineapple and cashew or something else along side of the soup that I was ordering. They often didnāt give us the meat that he chose for his rice or his dish correctly. So if he ordered shrimp, he would get nothing if he ordered chicken he would get nothing sometimes if he ordered and paid for shrimp, he would get chicken . Every time I would ask for extra pineapple and extra cashew. Every time they would call me and say we need to charge two dollars. I always said no problem, every now and then I said, could you please make sure that he gets the shrimp today. Last time you guys didnāt give it to him. They never compensated me or anything For The missing items. Recently I got a call from them wanting to charge four dollars for pineapple and cashewā¦when I said that I usually pay two dollars, the person said let me ask the manager and came back to the phone and said āIām sorry itās four dollars I donāt know who charged you two dollarsā. I responded back that Iāve been ordering the same couple of things for quite a long time⦠multiple times In a month, and sometimes multiple times in a week and it always been two dollarsā¦ā¦ and she said āI donāt make the rules. The manager said itās four dollarsā. So I got a little upset and I canceled my order. I wonāt order from them again and thereās no reason to. I ordered from somewhere else that night and it was delicious and much cheaper. Looking back through my Uber Eats receipts I have ordered from this place over 35 times this year and spent an average of $65 per order. They wonāt get anymore of that from me. I ordered a very similar selection from another Thai place and it was about $35 for a little...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am still quite shaken after my experience there today. The new ownership is unwelcoming and unfriendly to say the least. I can say with honesty that I only write positive reviews, and leave the negative for others, but today I must write this. Sat down after a long week, looking forward to trying a new dish and treat myself. I rarely eat out, so it was a special day for me. When I asked the waiter/owner about then menu, as I had never been there before, he practically accosted me about my question regarding fish free and meat free options. I LOVE Thai food, and most other places offer some menu options for vegetarians, and so I asked nicely at which point I was told that there is nothing for me there. I was starving, so said politely, ok, I would still take a Spring roll and a coconut juice ($10 for this) and he brought me my items in a to-go bag. I had intended to eat there, so when I looked puzzled and inquired about it being to-go, he said I asked for it that way, and I certainly did not. Now feeling upset and unwelcome, as he was now trying to argue with me loudly in front of the other customers, as well as make a scene and make me feel very very embarrassed. I said I would leave and not wish to argue with him over anything. He was now being very dramatic and loud, and making faces at me and rolling his eyes. I felt humiliated and I left shaken up. I ate my spring rolls walking down the street. I have never been treated so unkindly for NO APPARENT REASON. Will never go there again and urge locals to eat at spots where the owners care about the community and the patrons. NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY despite items on menu indicating "veggie" or "tofu" all items have oyster...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI give it four stars not because its a mind blowing experience but because its quick and pleasant.
Great place for a quick Thai lunch. Lunch specials are 7 days a week and go from 12pm-5pm. Great lunch portion. This is a casual dining location but feels cozy with its 20 person capacity. Be prepared for a casual and laid back atmosphere.
The server that took care of me didn't ascribe to patron worship. She was polite and pleasant but wasn't trying to kiss my backside for the sake of a better tip. She had some pretty cool tattoos as well.
This would be the kind of place you would eat at if you had a few friends and some time to kill and you wanted to hang out while waiting to eat. The food, once ordered, comes out quick. The service is a bit slow but my impressions were not because they don't care, but because things feel laid back. If you are the type that prefers the servers to bow down before you, this isn't your spot. If you like a relaxed atmosphere with decent food and prices, you'll love it.
Drawbacks: service is a bit slow, even when the restaurant is empty. The food is good, but nothing to write home about.
Advantages: I'm a sucker for mom and pops places and red Basil has that kind of feel. The lunch special is well worth it.
This review was written 10 minutes after eating and 2 minutes after paying so its a recent...
