Purchased the triple pack for a gift for my father in law that loves his hot sauce. I made the purchased from my home in Australia but the gift was to be sent to the UK. I waited almost 4 weeks before finally contacting Heatonist regarding why my package had not been delivered to find out that it had been held in customs in the UK awaiting import taxs to be paid, the whole time on there tracker it displayed in transit, nothing else.

Heatonist were able to tell me this over email when I contacted them but made no attempt to tell me or the recipient that these needed to be paid before they could be released to my step father during the 2 weeks it was sitting waiting to be delivered.

I then had to phone the local delivery depot closest to my father only to find that I had just missed the package and that it had began its journey back to london to be shipted back to the states. Luckily I caught it in time for it to be brought back to the local delivery depot a 3 days later for me to pay postage and finally get the gift to my step father 1 & half months late past his birthday.

The hot Sauces (according to my step father) are awesome and one of them being the hottest he has ever tried, but the customer service was terrible. Due to this I would not purchase from them again as a gift for friends or family unless I lived in the USA or the recipient was...

While taking a stroll through Williamsburg, my family and I came across this store quite by accident. The name immediately piqued my interest and being the hot sauce lover that I am, I just had to go inside. As soon as I entered, I was introduced to a wall-to-wall assortment of unique hot sauces. These were specialty hot sauces that I've never seen before. I asked a few questions to the worker who was tending to potential customers at a hot sauce bar. I found out that all the hot sauces in the store were organically-made in small batches. The hot sauce bar appeared to be the kind of bar where drinks are served, but this bar had about a dozen bottles of various hot sauces that were the featured selection for taste-testing for the day. The worker handed me a sturdy paper spoon and asked me what I'd like to try. I was so excited about taste-testing so many varieties of hot sauce that I ignored the spiciness level of each sauce. After trying several varieties, I was ready to blow fire out like Godzilla. I ended up purchasing two bottles at $10 a piece, a good price considering that they are organic and locally-made. To all those hot sauce lovers out there: this is a 'must-visit' place whenever you're in...

Finally made it to their Brooklyn flagship location. I have ordered via mail in the past and visited their Chelsea Market mini-location, but never got a chance to make it to thie one...glad I did. The shelves were stocked with everything. The staff there was very friendly, patient and helpful. They were able to recommend a few sauces to me based on my previous hot sauce experience. The sauces can be a bit pricey (they start a $12 and go up to $20 for the special/super hot sauces) which can be more than the average person would pay for a bottle of hot sauce...given most supermarket sauces only cost a few dollars. Recommended for most, but a must-visit for hot-sauce lovers. Parking in the area wasn't too bad for a friday afternoon as there were more alternate side parking spaces...

Amazing customer service and knowledge from staff. !! I was walking by, and thought is there really a store just for hot sauces? I went in and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I asked two different people about 10 questions each about the history of the store, hot sauce ingredients, why is this even so popular?? I tried four different hot sauces and bought a few as gifts. I absolutely think buying $20 hot sauce is really luxurious and maybe even unnecessary, but after talking with the staff trying all the different flavors I truly see how creating a hot sauce is ART and can add so many different dimensions and flavor to a dish that you’re creating. I’m totally sold on the whole concept.

Theres sooooo many choices! The shop is cute and small and clean so I entered to just buy any ‘ol hot sauce that would pair well with the eggs I planned to cook that evening. It wasn't quite that simple however, because of the tremendous variety of sauces available! So I simply asked the very very nice human with the blonde hair what goes well with eggs. The person could tell I wanted to keep things simple and thus suggested two options- thats great service right there! Purveyors indeed! I look forward to to trying your more sophisticated offerings in the future ❤️
