Called in advance to ask if they could do long hair and they confirmed. I even added that on the comments when making the appointment. When I sat down I asked the barber for recommendations and first thing he says is “I don’t do long hair, I am a barber.” So just asked him to trim it couple inches, which became a lot of inches in a weird crooked way. Not sure the barber even knew how to cut straight hair, he tried to trim the sideburns and they just look bad.
I read other reviews and I really wanted to like the place, but not for me. Maybe it is great for short hair people with wavy/curly hair, but def not for long straight hair.
EDIT: nobody reached out to discuss a "resolution". Forgot to add that on top of the pretty bad haircut, the day of my appointment I was running 10 minutes late, gave them a call to give heads up, and the person who picked basically told me I shouldn't go as all the barbers were busy through the end of the day and that I would need to pay in full as it was a no-show. After I told him that not even doctor offices do that for being late 10 minutes, I was told they would let it go if I showed up the next day at 11am for a new appointment. I assume these people do not understand most of us work during the day. But anyhow, I showed up on time and of course I waited more than 10 minutes to get seated for my bad haircut.
All in all, not only do they lie about services offered and provide pretty poor haircuts for long straight hair. But also the whole management is bad and they think that adding a “Manager will call you” note...

Thank you so much for the great experience and good haircut Daniela! I would never have thought it would be possible to try such a cool, trendy and I'll say it.. Upscale place if it weren't for the Pay What You Can option with a Junior Barber.
Daniela is a Junior Barber in Williamsburg, but I'm sure soon to graduating to be a Fellow very soon. I think she said her last appointment is at 7pm on some days. The app said to allow 1 hour or more for a Junior Barber, but it took Daniela 35 mins. Thumbs up emoji.
It was so great to find a Junior Barber at any of the NYC locations that would fit my schedule, since I'm all over NYC for work.
The app will ask for your credit card and book it for $40 to hold the date and time, but you are charged when you are done with the haircut. At that point they ask you how much you want to pay. Tip the barber in cash or to their Venmo.
You will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% if you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours and 100% fee if you cancel within 2 hours.
Remember this can change at any time so check the app for details.
Highly recommend. Thanks again for making...
Read moreI’ve been going to Fellow Barber for haircuts and beard trims with Tighe Philips for over 7 years. Tighe is a unique barber with a highly tuned ability to achieve sleek skin-fade haircuts and beard trims. One thing I appreciate about styling by Tighe is his ability to create an extremely smooth transition between the hair on top of my head and the side that fades into my beard. This results in an elevated appearance that boosts my confidence and I always leave the shop feeling refreshed. Tighe has a refined eye for how to make his clients look sharp. Over the years I’ve also gotten to know Tighe a bit. We’ve had many engaging conversations and I enjoy his perspective on all sorts of topics. He also has a lively sense of humor, a refreshingly straight forward candor and is a highly talented musician. Thanks Tighe!
I’ve also had the opportunity to work with Greg a couple times over the years. He’s an extremely talented barber and his haircuts/beard trims stand out as superb.
I highly recommend both of these barbers to anyone looking for a great haircut...
