Catbird Jewelry Williamsburg — Local services in New York

0 stars is more appropriate. Disappointed is an understatement. Had a special trip to visit my sister in NYC November of 2023. We had matching permanent jewelry bracelets put on. I explained that I would being having surgery in a few weeks and may have to have the bracelet removed depending on the dr's decision. The doctor did need to cut my bracelet off at the last minute, I was so bummed after only being able to wear it for about 2 weeks. Fast forward a few weeks after my recovery...I searched and searched for a local (NC) establishment that could "fix" my bracelet. Nowhere local had a small enough "ring" to reattach my bracelet for me. My sister visited Catbird (in Brooklyn) and explained the situation, asked if she could simply purchase another "ring" so that I could again wear my bracelet. The staff there said the only way they could help is if I came in with the bracelet. I live in North Carolina. Again, she clearly explained the situation. Sad to share.....the only fix short of my flying to NYC to get a "ring" from Catbird was that my sister ruined one of her other bracelets to give me the needed size ring to reattach my special bond bracelet. Why write the review now? I was able to find a wonderful pop-up here in NC at the coast yesterday who used my sister's "ring" and my bracelet and after 8 months, I finally am able to have my bracelet back on. Their business @getlinked_, if you are ever in NC, didn't even charge me to do so! Shame on you Catbird....not only did you lose my sister's business who lives in the city (NYC), but also all from oiur family who visit. Buyer beware...as others mentioned, the poor customer service in the reviews goes beyond the visit and purchase in the store. Compassion and understanding go a long way, especially when customers are purchasing...

I previously loved catbird, used them multiple times, and prefer to not leave bad reviews. But after my latest experience with their customer service team, I absolutely do not recommend them, ESPECIALLY for wedding rings. If you search through reviews, you’ll notice that many others have had similarly bad experiences like mine.

They gave us a 4-6 week timeline for our wedding rings to be returned to us after needed resizing (which we were recommended to do by the sales associate at our initial in-person purchase - so we could have the one-sized-smaller rings for our wedding day).

At the 6 week mark, we followed up online and in person. No response online, and no update in person other than a rudely stated “you need to follow up online”. We then followed up again online and it took them several follow ups from us to get back to us - only for them to tell us that one of the two ring resizing replacements never went through, and we’d need to wait ANOTHER four weeks. They have yet to give us an update on the status of the other ring (update: we’ve learned that this ring order was also not entered correctly into their system and they are giving an extra 6-8 week lead time on that). We are past eight weeks now from our original order.

With a weak apology, they only offered to give us “store credit” for the messed up orders if we no longer wanted the rings. No further compensation offered, not even an expedited replacement. We were outright rejected when we requested compensation in the form of store credit for this egregious mistake on their end.

What a terrible way to treat customers, especially those entrusting them with something as important as wedding rings. Beyond disappointed. NEVER shopping here again. Go directly to the ring makers instead is my...

I came in here looking for something precious for the love of my life, that would be my momma, she isn't terribly fancy or a Glitz & Glamour lady but still appreciates beautiful, sparkling, responsibly made jewelry which is what Catbird is all about.

All of the jewelry Catbird offers is on the very teeny-tiny side! Think smallish, thin, sparkly pieces with an understated elegant presence better suited for Individuals who prefer this to all out bling in your face jewelry.

Stopping in to shop here was a bit of a struggle as the Boutique is sooo dang small, was overrun with cult shoppers and if you don't know, you do now, I absolutely dislike small, tight, tiny shops, cafes or boutiques, period... but because the website images differ from real life I needed to stop in store to get a better sense of sizing. I recommend most people stop in here before blindly buying online from Catbird, the jewelry is seriously tiny! If you are a lady of size and substance (hahaha) I like that one, meaning your not a very petite size 6 for reference then this style of jewelry may not be for you, the jewelry is very nice but it won't have the same presence on if your a plus size lady.

I sincerely hope Catbird considers sizing up in their offerings.

Customer service was operating at an all time high considering how small the shop is and how crowded they were.
