I have to agree with the previous reviewer Christina Donovan. I rarely use one of my cards but decided to come to this location on October 31, 2024 to get an ice cream they had on sale. The very next day, I had two unauthorized purchases on this card which I rarely use. The unauthorized purchases totaled almost $400. Since I rarely use this card and only used at this location the entire month, I was relatively sure the theft was rooted in a skimming machine at this store, but after reading another customer had the exact same situation at the same store around the same time, solidifies my suspicions. Many times this is an inside job, which would be sad. Like the other reviewer, I’m a new mom with a 12 week old baby. I haven’t returned to work yet, so for someone to steal money I need to take care of myself and my child is unconscionable. The world is in a bad way. I literally was left with 24 cents on my card and found this out on November 4, 2024 when attempting to buy groceries. Luckily, I was able to use a different card to make the purchase after the card in which funds were stolen declined. It may take up to 30 days for the bank to investigate and refund the stolen funds. Many people cannot wait that long especially in these difficult economic times when food on average cost 20% more than it did a year ago. Due to a digestive issue my baby drinks goat milk which is sometimes difficult to find, so whenever it’s in stock I make sure to purchase an ample amount. People who steal from other people not knowing if they have young children to feed or what their situation may be is truly reflective of the selfish world we live in. I made a report regarding the theft of funds and I hope the authorities really investigate this store. Many online articles warn people about using their cards at little corner stores but this is a nationwide chain supermarket, so it’s truly disappointing especially if it’s an inside job which it likely is; because it would be very difficult for someone to attach a skimmer to the credit card machine when the cashier is standing less then 2 feet away from the credit...

I’ve visited this supermarket 4-5 times and it’s 1000 times better than Western Beef, which is only two blocks away from me. I walk 11 blocks to get to this supermarket due to the treatment I received here. The cashiers are friendly and helpful as well as the manager. Lorraine, the girl with long brown braids, the two light skin Hispanic female cashiers, the brown skin Hispanic cashier that nicely answered my question, the two male workers (one stocking and one cashier) all were helpful and all made me and my family feel welcomed there. They helped me find things like on Thanksgiving the girl with the long braids help me find cranberry sauce with the male worker that was stocking. Lorraine help me when I wasn’t sure about some WIC items. The manager (a male,I don’t know his name) but he’s always welcoming. He also helped me on more than one occasion with the WIC. He always speaks to me and my family when I come in and he’s very nice

The food is fresh the price is a good. I haven’t had to be concerned with checking and rechecking the expiration dates because the items of fresh unlike Western beef. The overall experience in this supermarket versus Western beef... this supermarket is by far better then Western beef. Honestly, I wish they could buy out the Western beef because that place is terrible, dangerous, and many other things.

The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because they only deliver five blocks away. It’s great they do delivery I just wish they could come a little further. At times it is hard to lug all the groceries 11 blocks back to my house. I also like the fact that the delivery is free over $50 just wish I could utilize it.

Well first, if you deliver you Have to go there, then get a Delivery, if you call for a delivery, that's when the problems begin. Today I decided to make a delivery by calling them, a man picked up the phone, I asked do you deliver the person said yes, and I said I'm on the west side, then I spoke to a woman asked her just to be sure there's a understanding, so I made my order of what I wanted, while I was asking the woman how much is the items, at first it went fine, then the manger takes the phone from her and said to me, as he addressed my name and shouted, Diana you can not have this woman going from item to item and getting her to tell you what price is what, well I said I'm done, he's rude and disrespectful nasty. Why? Say you deliver if you can't get it at all, that's their job to find what the customer wants, so you mean you have to shop there first then you get a delivery, but don't ever call for a deliver on the phone, the manager has a mental problem, because you can't ask how much something cost, and never ask his employees to find something, that you want, heaven for bid. Word to the wise don't say you deliver if you don't want to, so take my advice go there and shop then get them to deliver. I missed associated supermarket on 14th street on the west side, they were the best supermarket, when you went there and shop there and you get your delivery and when you called them asking for a deliver they don't mind going in finding what you want, they didn't have the manager shouting at you on the phone, that's unprofessional for a manager in a supermarket to behave, well that's what happens when you have a unintelligent manager who doesn't know anything about professionalism.
