Well, I've gone here a few times because they are the cheapest gig in town, and they did a good job with my hair. So if that's all you care about, by all means go. However I cannot bring myself to go there anymore. The water is cold and the people are angry. I had one experience in which the power went out halfway through my hair cut. One person began screaming at the other in chinese and they were both very angry. I sat there for 20 minutes with my head half-done while they tried to figure it out. And me, as stupid as I am came back again to save a few bucks, thinking that maybe this was just a bad day. The next time the employees were still yelling at each other and I had a very angry woman yanking on my head while doing highlights in a hap-hazard manner. I probably should have walked out and gotten them fixed somewhere else. If you only want to pay $60 for a half-head of highlights, and care about literally nothing else go here. Otherwise go...

Do not go here whatsoever. Nellie does not listen to what you request and cuts you hair as she pleases. I asked for a trim and layers in the front and she gave me choppy layers all over and took off much more length than I had asked. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed and pay triple the price but even then they couldn’t do much because she ruined it so badly. Additionally she was incredibly rude and told me that this was what I asked for even though she knew she was in the wrong. The night of the cut she rushed me out and said she would give me a refund if I wanted, but the next day when I called for a refund she refused and was extremely rude. Would give this 0 stars if I could. I should’ve known when the bald man who went before me was complaining...

I used to go to the original location of this once popular chain on West 86th street and Columbus Avenue, so I figured it was okay. Yeah, not so much.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had gone back to the 80's...and that it hadn't been cleaned since then. To make matters worse, I felt like I walked into an oven as it was swelteringly hot. Lana, my "hair stylist," said the heat was on and they couldn't fix it. Seriously...at 68 degrees outside that's just messed up.

As to the cut...Lana ignored my directions of long on top and front. Instead made my hair too short. Nice enough woman. Decent skills...except doesn't like to listen to the customer.
