We met in the spring of 2016 at an Understanding Your Aura workshop and have been closely working together ever since. I have attended her Reiki Healings, Chakra Healings, Healing with Crystals workshop, Self Responsibility series, as well as individual healing sessions. I took Reiki Level 1 and 2 training with Jissel this month, and I’m so glad I did. I signed up last minute due to my hectic schedule, and I’m very grateful that she was so accommodating and allowed me to join.

The two-day training, held at her beautiful UpSoul studio in Midtown, was an amazing experience. I especially loved the living wall of plants—it created such a calming, vibrant atmosphere. The studio is also very convenient, with a small kitchen where you can store your lunch in the refrigerator, and filtered water available, which was super helpful. While I personally chose to eat out (it was too hot to carry food around), others brought lunch and ate in the space comfortably.

Jissel also gave us thoughtful gifts, like a small teddy bear for practicing distance Reiki, a thorough training manual, and a starter kit that included sage and a palo santo stick. I’m excited to use these tools as I continue my daily Reiki practice.
