I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, I can't say it was a pleasant experience. Firstly, the staff's demeanor left much to be desired. Throughout my stay, I found them to be consistently rude and unfriendly. It was disappointing to see such a lack of hospitality, with barely any of them bothering to even greet us. Moreover, the coffee situation was frustrating. On the fifth day of our stay, the coffee suddenly disappeared without warning, despite being available later during the rest of our visit. When I inquired about it, the response was dismissive, and there was no offer to provide an alternative, such as a freshly brewed cup. The room itself was poorly designed, with inadequate storage space and inconvenient layout choices. There was no closet, only an exposed bar with minimal hangers. The lack of drawers, shelves, and a hand towel rack made organizing belongings a challenge. Additionally, the placement of the TV away from the bed was inconvenient, and the nightstand was cramped with a bulky speaker, leaving little room for essentials. For a supposed four-star hotel, the amenities fell short. Instead of a mini-bar, they offered limited complimentary beverages during specific hours, which felt restrictive and underwhelming. The quality of the fixtures in the bathroom was subpar, with a wobbly sink faucet and a shower that did not match the advertised rain shower experience. Privacy in the toilet area was also lacking due to a poorly designed barn door with a sizable gap underneath. The tin drain in the shower was just loud. Water drips on it and makes a lot of noise. Furthermore, essential items such as robes and slippers were conspicuously absent, which is surprising for a hotel aiming for a four-star rating. To make matters worse, there was an unsettling discovery of what appeared to be a blood stain on the comforter. Despite paying extra for a city view, the reality was far from appealing, and I would advise against spending the additional money for it. The photo on the website was not even close to the view we had. I don't even see how that view is possible from this hotel now that I've stayed there. Lastly, there were issues with the virtual door key, as it worked for me but not my spouse, and the staff were unable to resolve the problem. Overall, my experience at this hotel was disappointing, with numerous shortcomings that detracted from the enjoyment of my stay.

After a 20-year absence, we returned to New York and chose a central location to stay, which proved to be a fantastic decision.

Genesis, the front desk host, was remarkable; she thoroughly explained the breakfast offerings and how to navigate the self-serve area. She maintained a constant smile, readily answered our inquiries, and actively fulfilled our needs throughout our visit.

*Kelvin, the bartender, was personable, attentive, and skilled at crafting exceptional drinks, which particularly delighted my wife—a key aspect for me. His attentiveness extended to all patrons; during several evenings spent at a nearby table attending to personal office work, I had the opportunity to watch Kelvin in action. It's individuals like Kelvin who are often unsung heroes. As a business owner in Texas, I can only wish for someone who takes care of my business with the same dedication, keeping everyone engaged and ensuring a memorable experience. Based on my observations over several days, not just my interactions, Kelvin undoubtedly deserves a raise he is bringing it in for sure.

The rooms were compact and a bit cramped, offering limited storage for belongings, even for two people and got another room for my 3 girls. However, with a bit of ingenuity, it was manageable. The room was not only clean but also had a very pleasant scent, a rarity as most hotel rooms, while clean, lack a fresh smell. This one was truly clean and refreshing. *The hotel is not huge making it perfect for those who prefer a quick in and out without being in the hustle and bustle in the lobby. The building is quite new, ensuring that all rooms are nicely appointed and modern.

*The housekeeping staff is hardworking, active throughout the day, and their dedication is noteworthy. However, the noise they create has made it difficult for us to rest. We woke up early at 6 AM to make the most of our day, planning to return by 5 PM due to the early nightfall. Yet, the staff's conversations, laughter, and the constant slamming of doors as they moved from room to room were quite disruptive. The use of doorstops could help prevent the doors from slamming during cleaning. While their enjoyment of their work is understandable, we had hoped for greater consideration for guests in need of rest. As a result, we were unable to rest before our evening plans and chose to stay in for the night.

Wall aren't that thick so do be mindful of the neighbors. your love life doesn't have to be showcases by how loud...

I was in town to do site visits, to take in some sights, restaurants and the shopping in the Chelsea area. As I will be highlighting different areas in New York thoughout the up coming year, with my travel agency. The property is in a great location, loved the hot beverage at walk in and stumbled on the restaurant, as I was leaving. Would have been a game changer for me to be able to grab something before going up to my room but it wasnt mentioned at check in . After check in,I left immediately, as I had appointments all day and stayed out until well after 9pm. The room was the cleanest I'd EVER stayed in not one item was missed, I thought I'd cleaned it myself! This is the ONLY property I didn't do a deep cleaning on and I've stayed in many top notch hotels to include Ritz Carltons. That speaks to the commit of the cleaning staff!! Kudos to them and I mean that !! For me to ONLY wipe down my touchable items the door knobs, handles remote and lamp switches. To then the shower sink and inspection of the mattress but NOT feel as if I need to be really careful was AMAZING!! Unfortunately I'm known as the OCD Queen, it wasn't activated UNTIL my toilet started to slow flush then it didn't flush as all. So in the middle of the night all I could hear was grinding and banging noises from it. I tried not to use it but that was next to impossible. The noise wasn't faint so I asked for a late checkout so I could get it together before my next meetings and appointments but was told via chat(used since it was well after midnight). I wasn't granted per chat due to the property being sold out the night prior. So needless to say I was incredibly tired as I'm a light sleeper and the smell,I won't even go into. Luckily for me once I got up, it corrected itself for my morning routine. Upon check out, I did advise the rep of the issue, that it needed to be checked and of how it banged slow flush or didn't at all. She nonchalantly thanked me for letting her know. At over 400.00 a night this most definitely shouldn't have been the case! The stay was unexpected & I didnt have my Marriott card in hand.Calles and spoke to Josie to request since the card hasn't processed if I could switch to gain my 6x on my spend, she said no. The lobby is also spotless, even with people previously sitting there. AGAIN cleaning staff...
