Very disappointing stay If you like paying $300+ per night and are okay for the heater to blow cold air at night and wake up freezing, this is the hotel for you. That’s not actually the worst part. The worst is contacting the hotel 4 different times the next day and getting completely unhelpful answers and no help at all. See for yourself. 1. I called at 8:20am to report the issue - cold air coming out even thought the temp was set at 73 degrees. It’s like 48 outside. They said “sorry to hear that. Can you call back when you leave so I can ask the engineer then to look at it? What?! Why do I need to call back? I told them I will leave by 9am. 2. I messaged on Marriott app at 2:30pm to check on this. See photo. They responded “we are helping other guests at the moment and will get back to you”. 3. I messaged again by dinner time saying will be back by 9pm and got the same type of message as the 2:30. Maybe the hotel has lots of issues and mine is just behind 20 others? And I am a gold elite member. 4. I came back at 9pm and asked the front desk if my heater in my room is fixed and she said “well I called engineering but they never got back to me. So I don’t know if the heater is fixed. If you want, contact our general manager tomorrow, he can then give you some Marriott points for your trouble”. I couldn’t believe how little the front desk cared about fixing the issue that night. To add to this saga, we came home at 9pm with the bed not made (see photo)and garbage still there. Housekeeper decided I guess to just give us fresh bath towels and that’s it. Such sloppy service. I had no choice but to stay another night as it was late. The heater basically only worked if I turned it up to 78 degrees and then I had to manually shut it off and turn it on if needed. I had two terrible night of sleep out of the 3 nights we stayed. First night the heater was fine and was set at 70 degrees. It’s an old hotel I guess. At 9am on our last day, I got a call from the assistant manager and she said she heard I had a complaint. I told her my saga and she gave me a night refund. I guess that’s something. I would have rather had two nights of good rests though. Won’t be staying at this hotel ever again. Shocked that this hotel has 4+ rating.

Ok so service is great, nice, nice ppl. Front desk to girls who are there, Sunday and Thursday they are the best for this hotel, you need pay them well, give them more more money. The best. Now the location, easy access, walking distance from subway but building next door disgusting, not the cleaners area flowers put by shops can't hide nastiness. The rooms are small, small the beds are not double beds it's almost like a single bed but everything is clean. The roof top terrace needs updated. A double room really good max 3 ppl, king bed room which look like queen bed 1 or 2 ppl. If you have small kids not best place for space. The price of the hotel should be 50-75$ less per night. Staff in general are nice and good, that's what makes that hotel. So give hands up to front desk girls, house keeping, breakfast women, the men baggage and cleaner, really all lower positions because without you the hotel would be nothing.

Rooms: I'll start with the "down side"; and this is only a negative depending on how much space you need/desire. The rooms are very small. I traveled with 3 teens, so space was tight. A minor inconvenience. But it's a hotel, not home....so if you can make it work, you'll enjoy your stay. Service: The ENTIRE staff were friendly. Whenever we needed anything, it was done in a timely manner, and our room was cleaned each day. Shout out to this hotel for actually providing a breakfast worth waking up for! 😋 Location: Perfect. Leaving the hotel every morning and being surrounded by flowers was a vibe. There's tons of shopping within a 10 minute walk. The train is around the corner, and plenty of restaurants to visit (Da'Andrea was our favorite). And we felt safe day and night. If you're not convinced, the fresh baked cookies they give you are reason enough to stay. And make sure you head to the roof for amazing views!

This is a very centrally located hotel to visit Manhattan. It is located about a block away from two subway stops which made traveling easy. When we decided to walk to and from destinations that seemed, at first, far away, they were quite walkable to enjoy the city(example: walking to Times Square, Grand Central Station, Chelsea Market). Our rooms were comfortable and had comfortable beds. The rooms were quite small with not much room to store our things. I figured this was to be expected in NYC in older buildings. We had two rooms; one for my husband and I and one for our two daughters. We did not get rooms next to each other, but they made it helpful by putting us on the same floor. Being that it is a narrow building with many floors, it was nice to find that each floor only had about 8 rooms and we were able to easily walk back and forth. | |One huge convenience was the elevators. We never had to wait. Even on the days the hotel was at capacity, the elevators arrive quickly. ||The air conditioning was ample and the shower was strong and refreshing. After hot days walking the city, it was a nice place to return to rest.||Breakfast was similar each day, but had some variations with the eggs and meat offerings. Everything was fresh and tasty for a hotel breakfast. Service staff at breakfast were always helpful. They replenished items as the morning would progress. ||The front desk staff was quite helpful and friendly as well. There were times only one person was available at the front desk and they were overloaded (but patient) with guest needs. Hopefully, this was a rare occasion as they were really in need of extra guest help. ||I loved how we were in the flower district. It was a beautiful sight to see each morning with the plants and flowers lining the street. My girls and I always kept our eyes open to try to get to pet one of the kitties that live at these nurseries. ||I would stay at this hotel again if I needed to. A few suggestions to escalate my experience would be:|-better lighting in the bathroom(we had lights that were out and didn't really have the chance to have them replaced [we usually don't have service to our room when we aren't present]).|-quick repair when there is a need. Our daughter's room phone did not work and we notified the front desk. No one followed up with us to attempt to change out the phone (we had cell phones so we survived and didn't insist on it).|-Thicker towels would be better. They...
