Great concept and a great deal. I usually do my shopping on the weekends, and I love trying out new butchers. I came across this guy and he told me, ‘If you want, I can cook any meat you choose for just 5 bucks—with French fries.’ Here’s how it works: you pick the meat you want from inside the butcher shop, pay the regular price, and for an extra $5 he’ll cook it for you right there, with fries on the side. I gave it a try. Genius. You’re getting prime meat, freshly grilled, for just a small cooking fee. It beats any steakhouse around here. To beat the Memorial Day rush, I came here on a Friday afternoon to order some steaks, and thank goodness I did! It was nice and empty, but the inventory was stocked with a great selection of meats.

Also, the staff told me that they were going to be closed on Sunday so I could only imagine how busy it was going to be on a Saturday. Crisis averted.

The two NY strips I ordered looked beautiful!! I can't wait to season them.
