I had the immense pleasure of dining at Mojka, a hidden gem of a Korean restaurant nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Astoria tonight. From the moment we entered, we were embraced by warm and attentive service, along with an aroma that left our taste buds tingling in anticipation. The menu at Mojka offers a delightful fusion of traditional Korean cuisine with modern twists, which was evident in the dishes we ordered. The Bulgogi Nacho was a harmonious marriage of juicy marinated beef and crisp nachos, topped with a generous serving of cheese and spicy mayo. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving for more. Next up was the Bibimbap, a classic Korean dish presented beautifully in a hot stone bowl. The warm, perfectly cooked rice was complemented by a vibrant array of vegetables, savory marinated beef, and a fried egg on top. The gochujang sauce added just the right amount of heat, making it an unforgettable dish that satisfied our palates. The star of the evening, however, was the Beef Bulgogi Steak Sandwich. Tender, succulent bulgogi was nestled between two soft buns, enhanced by a unique Korean-inspired sauce. Each bite was a testament to the chef's skill in crafting an innovative dish that showcases the best of Korean flavors. Throughout our meal, the service at Mojka was nothing short of exceptional. We were personally offered hand sanitizer and a hot towel at the beginning, which was a thoughtful touch in ensuring our comfort and safety. The manager checked in with us several times, making sure that our experience was nothing less than perfect. Mojka is a must-visit for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure in Astoria. The unique dishes, impeccable service, and welcoming atmosphere ensure that you will leave with a satisfied stomach and a longing to return. Don't miss out on this fantastic dining experience!

Absolutely worth it!!! This was unexpected. Another restaurant we happen to stumble upon! This is a gem in Astoria that you have to visit if you want some really good Korean food! Food: 10/10 - oh my god everything was cooked to perfection. Please trust me: the seafood pancake: just get that! Oh my god!! Holy sweet baby Jesus and the baby lambs! It’s soooo good! There shrimp, squid, vegetables and it was so worth it. Ordered the BBQ galbi w/ kimchi soft tofu stew. I was singing songs like I was back in the choir! THE STEW ALONE MADE ME WANT TO CRY! The galbi was cooked to perfection. Just so good. Then the hot stone bibimbap was awesome and very filling! Nothing felt like it was a bad purchase. Everything made me want to hug the chef and high five the waiters. Service: 10/10 I felt like family in there. The waiter was extremely nice and continued to help/upsell 🤣 me but it was fine because she kept picking everything I loved. She was very fun and kept checking on us but not in a way that made you say “could you back up please and stop bothering us.” Basically it was the perfect balance! Atmosphere: Perfect for a date night! Perfect for meeting up with friends and or family. You’ll feel like dressing up when you go inside. But that’s not necessary because everyone is dressed chill inside…but not frumpy looking 😇. Final thoughts: Just go. Seriously stop playing around, go get some good food! This place is tha 💩!!! Well I shouldn’t say that, people will take that literally, this place is the bomb 💣!!! Have fun and thank me later!

Thank goodness for Mokja. Hands down the first place I go when I’m craving Korean food and it always hits the spot. I went and sat down to eat on New Year’s Day, but have always ordered before then. Every time I’ve ordered, the food came super quick where it was still warm/hot. The food is so good and super authentic. Reminds me a lot of my mom’s cooking and will always appreciate when I feel like I’m eating a home-cooked Korean meal. But honestly, eating at Mokja was the cherry on top. They were super accommodating and offered to move us closer to heat lamps multiple times. Also, they were amazing at checking in and seeing if we needed anything else which is always great given I always need more kimchi. They were even playing older kpop songs that really brought me back. All in all, amazing Korean restaurant, one that I cherish and am thankful for, and can’t wait to eat there again soon!

Always looking for a new place to eat in Astoria Queens, a veritable wonderland of ethnic eateries. Just noticed this fresh appealing corner shop with welcoming open-air front, but its been there almost a year.

My favorite Korean comfort classics are accessible at reasonable prices on the lunch special menu: Bulgogi, Kalbi, Bibimbap. It was a tough call between the bowl and noodle plates, but I got for just 10.95 the Bulgogi Jab-Chae: Warm sweet potato noodles, savory lean meat bits, generous peppers, mushrooms, and greens appealingly presented on lovely dishes with steel designer chopsticks.

Seems like they always have Kalbi (short ribs) and Gochujang (Pork Belly) at the ready, so if you are jones-ing for those flavors, they've got 'em here. Although those higher end items are not as low priced as the lunch special.

Very pleasant and professional proprietor with emphasis on nice service, cleanliness, and quality of ingredients (lean meat with no unnecessary fat, nor gristle/oiliness; vegetables well-cooked but still crispy and easy to chew).

If I lived in the area I'd go back frequently. Anyway it'll be my go-to place when...
