Hate to leave a negative review following all the positive reviews left for this business. However, I hope my review will be seen and the salon will be more careful with their work in the future. Visited 7/3 Sunday. Called two hours ahead and was able to get an appointment at 2:30pm.

When I walked in, the salon was full (I saw it as a good sign) but got started right on time. Salon was clean and well kept, which kept me hopeful. I went in for a simple mani and pedi.

I did my usual--white toes and clear nails. I asked my technician to keep both my nails and toenails short and clean and emphasized it through my appointment to get my point across. The shape, the filing, and the paint job was all so terrible. None of my finger/toenails are even in length or shape, and the toenail coating is also uneven. Clumps everywhere! Granted I only got clear coat for my nails, but they started chipping the next day.

After tip, I paid $52 in total. I could've mentioned my concerns and ask them to redo the job, but by the time I left they were even busier than when I walked in and seemed a bit back up. I didn't want to keep someone else waiting or have to wait to get it fixed. Btw, the appointment lasted over an hour, and when I called they said it would be around 40 minutes. Not sure if it was an off day for the technician or she's new, but this is not salon quality. I could do a better job at home. I went to a salon and paid a decent amount because I wanted quality results. Really disappointed as this salon is near my house and wanted to visit regularly.

Maybe it was my bad luck, but this is not the quality I was expecting when...

I would ran away from this place. They hire not professionals. I am a pianist and cannot keep long nails. However in VA I had good experience with French on my short nails manicure. I was flying to trip to Morocco and decided to treat my self while had a day in NYC🙃. I was going for manicure French and simple pedicure package. She convinced me for more extended deal for fancy Pedicure. I had limited time because I wanted to do my hair also before flying from JFK to my trip. Ok. I decided she might provide better service if I agree and do extra. She promised to finish in two hours. She covered nails over and over, re painting white line over. It was very thick layer. She send me to dry for 15 min. I asked after 15 min are you sure it is enough? she assure me yes. It took me 20 min walked to nearby coffee ( I understood there is no time for Hair stylist, spent there three hours instead of two promised. ) to see my ruined French manicure because it was definitely not dry out and Polish easy came out in a few nails. The worse part: when she took off my previous jell manicure, she used machine so deep so ruined one of my nail forever, so besides I had pain all my trip, I lost my actual nail. it is very frustrating for me as I have short nails already. (after a caffee, I returned to ask for manicure refund and to take out all polish). The menager did not want to give the refund. $52 for a French gel on my own nails and the girl did a bad job. The white lines for the french were uneven with some being pointed and some curved on the bottom. The polish was full of visible air bubbles. When I brought this up she corrected them but they were still sloppy. I got fed up and just told her to finish because I was going to get them fixed elsewhere. How can the owner have novices messing up a basic French. No design no shoes nails just a gel French. Then when I didn’t tip (since now I have to pay to get them fixed elsewhere) she had the audacity to say I should’ve told her to stop and and checked each nail. First off you’re the nail tech I’m paying for a trusted service of a BASIC FRENCH. Air bubbles should not be difficult to notice when you’re the one painting them. If I got a design I would understand the need to verify. Second she did one nail at a time and had me dry them individually. So I didn’t see the full set until it was finished and looked uneven. The nails are also bumpy between the pink and white, like you feel a bump/slope when touching the nails 😭I genuinely can’t stop looking at the air bubbles.
