*Review may change This is a brand new restaurant , so I won't focus on the services as there are many review on that already. I ask a simple question of this establishment and it is this, What is Queens Bully? Are you a Gastropub, a BBQ joint or a hybrid hipster spot ? I'm confused by the decor as I want to say BBQ out of Williamburg but given the table configurations , I'm not sure. If BBQ, where are the paper towels on the tables and selection of BBQ sauces? This area has plenty of Gastropubs and so only time will tell but for the love of the universe, please fix the font on your menu's. I felt like i was getting old cause I couldn't see some the items correctly, had to use my phone to magnify the text on the menu. Reviews: Seating.. Traditional tables in one area and Cafeteria Tables in the middle and neither match each other while the bar chairs and bar table are total different from everything else. The focus seems to be on the bar but there isn't a clear divide between the bar and the table service area, which could lead to uncomfortable crowding issues between the bar and table folks when crowding happens ( see Banter near 71st). Bathrooms They are huge for only one person each, possibly add additional stalls in each. I understand the attempt for unisex but take an example of Moca on restaurant row or The Smith's upper east side bathroom setup. When you get crowds in the future and one toilets fail for the size dinning floor, it's going to be a nightmare. The staff.. Some where black t-shirt with the establishment name while others look like they just got off the J train to come to work and didn't change.. I can't tell who works here and who doesn't. I was serviced by four different people during my first visit. Two greeters at the front door, neither said good night, blah blah on our way out. (Shout out to the dude working the water, He was on point. There are places that would rather have you die of thirst but this guy always had the glass full of water and also shout out to the curvy girl making sure everyone had their cornbread these two hustled Both wearing black T-shirts with the establishment logo on it.) Setup.. Why is there only one POS and it's set up right next to the bar where all the staff are congregating and / or just stuck waiting to put the orders in? There is plenty of unused space on the wall for additional POS to speed up the ordering. Food Rib: Points for portion size Missing smoky flavor in the meat Cornbread: Warmer might have saved it but felt not completely cooked. Fries: If they came out hotter, the flavor would've come through. Deviled Eggs: Eggs not firm, filling not creamy enough Korean Chicken Wings: Credit for crispness, weak on the flavor Pretzel: Size wow factor but doughy and doesn't feel fully baked. Chicken & waffles: Chicken needs flavors, waffle was OK. Drinks: Work on the drink constancy, plus for having sidecar but the second one was bad. Soda mixture is off. I'll return in a few months to see if there is improvement.

We went here on a Sunday around 1:00. No reservation. We waited about 30 minutes and the hostess let us know that she had a table. However, it was right in front of the band that was about to perform and it might be loud. The alternative was waiting another 40 minutes, so we took it. Mistake, the amps are way too loud for the space. We tried to make it work but I couldn't hear my husband and he was right next to me. After 20 mins no waiter even came over but the hostess did come over to let us know another table opened up if we wanted to move, so we did. After 10 minutes our waitress finally came over and since we waited so long we knew what we wanted from drinks, appetizers to mains,so we ordered everything at once. Unfortunately and unwisely everything came at once. Three appetizers and three mains all came to the table at the exact same time. When one of my friends orders was wrong, the waitress was very argumentative. He ordered chicken and biscuits and he got chicken and waffles. It was so loud in there that it would make sense that she miss heard, but this seemed to stress her out and the service fell off from there. When she came out to bring the drinks there was no space on the table. We ordered three frozen flights and a beer, She just handed it to us and left the beer on the edge of the table leaving us to rearrange. We got the vibe that they wanted us to leave, another waitress came to clear our plates. But my friend was visibly still eating and she just stood there staring at him until he rushed his last bite and gave her the plate. While the food was good, the service was terrible, There was also an automatic 18% gratuity which was laughable based on the service. The band was good, but far too loud for the time of day. if you're looking to have a conversation at brunch I would not recommend this place. Even the hostess had to go outside to phone calls. This was a one and done spot, which is a shame because the food was good . We walked up the street to Cobblestone, better vibes and better prices.

Came to a private event at Queens Bully last week at 8pm and there were surprisingly many parking spots available on Queens Blvd! Location is key. I think the name of the restaurant is pretty cute - Bully as kind of a slang way of saying Boulevard. During the event, I was able to try some bites from their new menu releasing in February, such as the beef brisket, general tso’s chicken, cheese bread sandwich, celery and carrots dipped in hummus, bacon baos, chicken sliders, and buffalo cauliflower. All pretty good and satisfying - my favorite was def the bacon bao! I didn’t get to try their mac & cheese or flatbread pizza, but I’m pretty sure they were both great as well. For cocktails, Queens Bully offered “Made You Look” (made with Espolon tequila, pear liqueur, lime juice, and passion fruit syrup) and “State of Mind” (made with Bacardi rum, orange liqueur, vanilla syrup, and pineapple and lime juice). Cute names, but way way way too strong. Such a waste because none of my friends finished their drinks. I asked if they had non-alcoholic drinks available and the woman working the counter stated they had cranberry and orange juice. However, she was told by her manager to charge me $4.36 for a small Dixie cup of juice.. noo thanks! Some other things that could’ve been better: - More garbage cans were needed, especially at an event that has so much plastic and paper being thrown out. I only saw 1 can that was easily accessible - A coat rack/hangers or somewhere for attendees to leave their coats. My friends and I opted to just wear our bulky winter coats while we were eating, thus dripping sauces and crumbs on our scarves and outerwear All in all, I had a great time at the event. Thanks for hosting, Queens Bully!

I know it’s hard to find good help but when have an angry server who is blatant you should never eat there. Party of 8 visited we were place on benches and not chairs with backs. Mature crowd! We asked for chairs The nice server was very nice. He at least was brought up with good manners.

The shorter waiter showed anger and did not care if we saw it. My daughter bday so as a mother I did not want to ruin her gathering or I would have left why:

The water came out from the angry waiter but my water look has spit in it! I showed one person in the party discreetly and we both agreed! I now was relieved that he was not serving our food! Because I now was carefully observing Thank God I had to keep quiet.

The food came out looking soo good we took pic!

Food: was not good the fries were about the best thing if that. Salt salt salt!

the fish fry: the tasteless batter looked crunch but can you imagine watery whiting! The macaroni: my daughter and her friend ate a few spoonful but it was not good Chicken wings party said nothing Chicken and waffle: you have to be drunk and you only eating it because you are there and you stay just not to be another angry….. Pull pork : sent back and the person got a burger if I can remember but did not eat it

As a Member of the body of Christ my spirit is very discerning. The mean waiter lurked past our table looked to see if one of our parties ate or drank what was in front of them and he went back to the cashier lady and the other nice waiter and they began to laugh so hard and talk in Spanish!

No one out of a party of eight could really truly say anything good about the food. They all agreed the mean waiter needed to go! Thank God we had some table games to make it fun…..

I usually don’t write reviews unless it’s positive but this experience especially the mean server has me up at 7:35 am writing this review. I’m praying no one falls ill! $ 306 total- . $200 in cash of hard earned money everyone kicked in 20 and it’s an No not Never again ! Sorry but between the Mean and rude server and the cook it’s a no not ever again!

. Never go along with bad employees they are hurt and don’t care who they bring down. On a positive note: My daughter was very grateful and because I kept my mouth shut, I am grateful and so thankful to...
