Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice studio space but worst Kundalini class I ever attended. The instructor started by saying that we will focus the session on healing because āthe body isnāt meant to be sick and itās because we have negative thoughts that we get sickā. Way to shame and blame people with disabilities and chronic illnesses - I was shocked. English isnāt her first language so Iāll leave some room for language mistakes, but that wasnāt the only weird thing she said. āMeditate on your past and Focus on your future and on what you wantā was said several times, which goes against the very philosophy of yoga - which is all about breaking up the concept of time into present moments. She also did not do the exercises herself but just instructed, with no demo. Luckily I am familiar with yoga terminology but my guest was not and she was very lost. All in all a very disappointing class. I feel bad leaving such a damming review but it was truly an abrasive experience so I feel it is my duty to warn others. Hari yoga uptown is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been practicing at KYE for over a year now, and I highly recommend this studio. The space it self is beautiful and has a very high vibration, I feel at home when I am there. All the teachers are stellar, in particular my very favorite is Angad. KYE has amazing deals for new students, $39 for 30 days unlimited, and very affordable monthly memberships. Not to mention they serve tea after every class, probably the best yogi tea youāll ever have!
The rumors are true, kundalini yoga is weird, fun, challenging, meditative, and most importantly it gives you a natural high. And with repeated practice you get better at maintaining your high. Kundalini helps you weather the storm of life, and KYE is a great place to practice. So keep an open mind,...
