I recently treated myself to an absolutely wonderful haircut and color session with Kei! My hair was in crazyyyyy, I need of some TLC—after neglecting it for a solid six months, it was a mess of split ends and uneven coloring. I booked an appointment at the Japanese. salon (always curious about their good reputation in hair).

When I walked in, I had no clue what to do with my hair. But Kei, suggested adding some bangs with layers and a fresh dye to spice things up. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical about the dye, considering my past DIY disasters. But Kei assured me he had just the thing—a Japanese hair dye product known for its subtle, natural-looking results. It wont damage my hair further.

Y'all, the result was nothing short of amazing! The hazelnut dark brown shade he chose was perfect—it completely evened out my color and gave my hair a gorgeous, refreshed look. Plus, the haircut he gave me somehow managed to make me look 10 years younger! Everyone said the bang is a game changer, hardly recognize me.

I have never really been that loyal to a salon or hairstylist until now. I have pretty easy hair (straight, long, and fine but medium thickness) and it looks pretty good without doing much to it. However, my color is ash brown which is neither here nor there and that is where the trick lies. Over the years, I have gone darker and I have gone lighter and discovered I like it pretty close to natural with some beige pop. I found Kuniya Hair after someone went way tooo far with the bleach and my hair was dry like straw and damaged and too LIGHT. Kuniya took the time to correct and care and nurture my hair back to health and I am so relieved. I didn’t think it was possible without really cutting most of it but I even kept most of my length. They really listen to what you want (pics help) and when I wanted to have more texture cut into my hair for the holidays - I was told we can in Spring because my hair is too fine for the dry winter air and I’d get more split ends if I did it now.
