Stationery and Toy World — Local services in New York

TERRIBLE! I waited for 5 min+ in front of the cashier to pay and the woman (owner?) was packing or storing things in front of me she didn't bother to turn her back to look at me and make me pay; anyway I thought she was busy so I waited patiently over the phone and 5min waiting standing is long!!! Then I received an incredibly good news by phone and said wow and then said sorry for raising my voice, explaining myself as the woman finally turned around, but instead of saying fine and finally make me pay she asked me to leave and finish my conversation outside! I insisted to buy whatever I needed as I was in a rush and there's no toy store in the close neighbourhood! Anyway unless you're in a rush I would strongly advise to stay away from than mean and bitter...

Stationary and Toy World is a wonderful store if you are looking for age appropriate toys for children of all ages. The staff is incredibly helpful and honest. I was going to buy a soft bouncy ball but the owner refused to sell it to me because he was concerned that my grandchild was still teething! He recommended a perfect replacement that was less expensive! The store was a very impressive stationary selection of items including calligraphy tools! Wonderful selection of toys as well as stationery and art supplies. I had been to a number of NYC stores in search of an old-fashioned, small address book and was about to give up. They had one! Not only did the employee who helped me know exactly what I was looking for, he also knew just where it was. Although I only spent $3.99, I was treated as if I were making an expensive purchase.
