Living here for years I had just started going to this diner for it being kind of new well to me being from here. The first time was great but I guess I jinxed it because after that it just went downhill. The food now is burnt and just does not taste that good maybe they have different chefs I don't know. The main issue I have with this place is their seating I really don't know why they make it such a big deal its really offputting and annoying. In the winter they kept putting my family and I by the cold window when there were available seats elsewhere and even made us move to that table from a good seat just to seat 2 new people who I guess they were VIP at a freakin restaurant or something I mean what the heck is wrong with you all. So after those really annoying encounters we began to ask (even early when it was empty!!!) to sit away from the window because its cold and the waitresses were SO annoyed, like calm down life is ok sweetheart, and one time even said "ok for now" like what does that even mean? Mid-burger you're going to make me take all my food somewhere else? Make it make sense. They all literally talk to each other about you and look at you like high school I cant ! Worst waitresses I have ever seen🤣Somehow its my fault you dont have a bigger space or better heat ? They get off being the only diner near by but let me tell you you can...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my experience here - in terms of the food quality, hidden costs, and treatment of my service animal. I have eaten here twice, to give them the benefit of the doubt. Both times they asked if my dog is a service animal, which I confirm. The first time I ordered an egg sandwich, which is listed as $4 on the menu. I added a bagel instead of the roll, and cheese. Nothing else. The total cost of the sandwich when I paid at the counter was $15, but I paid and didn't ask questions. I returned next time, ordered another egg sandwich, this time on a wrap (which is listed as $1.25 extra) and with cheese and turkey bacon. The cost of cheese and turkey bacon isn't listed. When I paid for my meal, the cost of the sandwich was listed as $12. I asked how it went from $4 to $12, they listed the ingredients, but not the individual costs (which tripled the cost of the sandwich). I was polite, paid in cash, and tipped 20%. Yet as I'm paying, the manager asks "is your dog really a service animal? Because I know service animals and they don't beg for food." She hopped up when she saw food coming, but did nothing else. He seemed defensive because he was inventing food costs, and instead of owning up to it, criticized my service animal. Very disappointed by this behavior, which is unethical and unprofessional. To top it off, the food is...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever felt compelled to leave a review about a restaurant, good or bad, until this place. Service was good but food was so terrible, we will never be back. We thought the old-school “diner vibe” meant we would get that classic, full-of-flavor breakfast that diners are commonly known for….we were sadly wrong. The yogurt parfait was the weirdest texture of yogurt I’ve ever seen, almost like whipped cream cheese and not in a good way — as if it was really, really old yogurt. The toast was below average, just store bought bread that was cold by the time it reached the table. The scrambled eggs had no salt or pepper, and they were thin, rubbery, and cold. The pancakes were decent, but the bacon that came with them looked so disgusting and inedible that I didn’t even try it — and I am usually no discriminator when it comes to bacon so this was shocking to me that I didn’t even feel compelled to take a bite. I wish I would have taken a picture, the bacon was gray and so dry that a piece broke right in two when I picked it up to move it off of my...
