The little things are SCAMMERS!! READ my story below. Anyone ordering from AMERICA be careful. And they have yet to email me back. They have been avoiding me since May! Below is the email I sent them.
I finally received my package after almost a month and a half battle with ups. I ordered these two items for my son whose birthday was on May 16th but didn’t receive it in time due to the conflict that was presented at the time of delivery. When I purchased this order from you guys, I thought everything was taken care of. I paid for the items and also paid for the shipping. To my surprise when the post man came to my door to deliver the package, I was told I had to pay a fee of $86 which made no sense because I paid “The Little Things” everything that was requested of me. I refused to pay. I then contacted ups and was educated on the fee and why I was being charged. I was told by UPS that the sender can pay for the charge and all that was needed was for the sender to send over their account number to ups and everything would have been fine. I couldn’t believe I was being charged an extra $86 for 2 items that was valued at $48 together. I contacted “TLT” about the situation but was ignored. I then proceeded to seek help from higher authority so I came upon a supervisor at International customs who broke everything down for me. She explained to me that I was being charged that high amount because “TLT” stated on their invoice that I had ordered the product from china!! In no way was that correct! I ordered the item from TLT in Dubai. I ordered from a Company in Dubai! The supervisor advised me that it was not my responsibility to pay the fee and it was completely the senders responsibility because it was their distributors who are location in china. International customs sent multiple emails and made multiple phone calls to TLT and just like me they were also ignored. International customs gave me a deadline and if TLT didn’t fix this problem, I was told the package would be returned to sender and I would lose it. I was left with no choice and had to make a sacrifice and pay that large amount. This was completely unacceptable! my received his gift a month late and I lost multiple days of work due to this conflict. I spend hours daily on the phone trying to get this fixed. Every single day to where I have screen shots from the call log and nothing was done because TLT didn’t communicate back.
I would like for something to be done about this. I respected the brand and was looking fwd to continue business with TLT but this is not how to treat customers. I would appreciate if I could be accommodated for this situation that no one should have to go through. I am a teacher and lost my lunch and prep period almost every day on the phone making calls trying to fix...
Read moreHave been supporting this store for years but am echoing other recent reviewers about being treated with condescension and disdain by the older women who worked here. They asked us to tell them exactly what we were looking for at least half a dozen times in the 10 minutes we were in there. Scolding us for touching anything and telling me I needed to leave my dry umbrella at the door. There’s a difference between offering assistance and allowing customers to browse and demanding to know what we are specially looking for. Maybe I don’t know yet! What an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. These two women should go work at the DMV instead of...
Read moreThis place is a Park Slope institution that's been around for as long as I can remember. And it's still amazing. Three-plus storefronts' worth of what seems like every toy imaginable. I stopped in recently to get a gift for a 7yo boy and was at a total loss for ideas. The store manager (or owner? I wish I had asked her name) jumped into action and spent the next 10 minutes walking me through every section of the store and giving me so many ideas my head was spinning. Then I found the Lego room, with its comprehensive selection of Lego Architecture and other adult-oriented Lego sets, and I nearly forgot why I stopped in in the...
