I’m so disappointed with my experience here and i really wanted to give them 5 stars BUT i got hard gel extensions this time (last time i did a gel overlay and was really happy). i found it quite frustrating to go to a place that isn’t really transparent about their prices and what the services actually includes. my gel extensions weren’t made from nail forms and were with the tips. the tips tend to be weaker in quality, strength and tend to be bulkier - i asked my nail technician when she started what the price listed on the menu actually included and she told me that the price for the nail form type of extensions are more than the nail tips (which are the glue on type). my nails did look good once they were done and she was really lovely but i found it quite frustrating when i went to pay that there were a lot of additional charges - $5 extra for a matte top coat (which i think is a rip off tho some other places do this too) and $15 additional for gel polish - i think it’s fine if they charge additional but they should be very clear about this within their menu as well as when we are booking the appointment/or starting the service. it was also quite frustrating that i wasn’t able to have the nail forms type of extension and that they were extra money(?!) which wasn’t clearly indicated or communicated and i had made the appt in advance. unfortunately 2 of the nail tip extensions (which aren’t even that long) have broken within the first week. it’s been almost 2 weeks now but last week, i had covid and didn’t use my hands in any extreme way. another two look like they will peel/break off quite soon. I had a good experience my first time but this time it was really frustrating and felt like they were trying to charge me as much money as possible without providing high quality service. i also got a pedicure done - last time i did a regular pedicure with a paraffin foot mask. and i LOVED it. my feet never felt softer and it stayed like that for a long time! this time the receptionist convinced me to do one of the deluxe pedicures (as none of their pedicures include the paraffin) which was supposedly better than the paraffin - tho the lady actually did the wrong pedicure (apparently a more expensive one) though my overall experience wasn’t great as my whole purpose for the pedicure was to soften my calloused feet which wasn’t really achieved with even this very expensive pedicure. it felt like they were just trying to get me to spend as much money as possible without actually hearing what it was that i wanted and in the end, they kept adding these additional charges to the service without telling me before that something would cost more. if i’m getting gel extensions and they literally hand me different colors of gel polish to choose for my nail color i am assuming that this is included in the service and not an additional $15. i know i should’ve asked but it’s honestly quite frustrating and takes away from the “relaxing experience” of getting your nails done when you have to be asking them every time “will this cost more?” - it’s fine if that is the case but they need to be more transparent and actually list their prices online and be quite clear what the services include and doesn’t include. i’ve included a menu that i got from them and as you can see they aren’t really clear about their prices. it’s hard to know if they are ripping you off when they don’t have the prices listed on their services or add ons and what their actual services include or entail. as i said it’s a place i want to give 5 stars, and they have a lot of potential to have that but i think they need to be better about matching clients who want hard gel extensions(particular with forms) with technicians who have that expertise and are qualified to do good work. nail form extensions when done correctly are stronger and last way longer. they need to post their prices and be very clear and upfront about it - it will make for a better experience for everyone involved. i spent $250 and my nails shouldn’t break within a week…it’s really disappointing

Updated review: So I originally tried this place and thought it was amazing because for adults it’s great but this weekend is my daughters birthday weekend today 9/16 she is 8 and tomorrow she will be 9 … so she is a little kid still… the lady looked at my daughter and said that she was to tall for a kids service price. I explained she is only 8 and although she is tall for her age she is still only 8 I found it unreasonable to charge me full price when let’s say a short adult comes in that is shorter then they would pay a kids rate. I can understand you have an age limit but a height requirement makes my daughter feel subconscious walking out so we left and went down the street to park slope nails which did have a 8 year old age limit which was fair and technically today my daughter is still 8. I have no problem paying for services but when you have a height requirement instead of an age limit that to me is unfair and discriminates against kids or people that are just taller. No lobger ever coming here. Original post: Was taking a walk and stumbled across this salon and I am so glad I stopped by! Jessy was my pedicure tech and oh my god she did an amazing job I had the Ultimate Pedicure this came with a 6 step process, 25 minute amazing leg and foot massage, steam, hot stone rub, amazing treatments and just the works she took her time and was just amazing!!! If you want gel color it’s $20 more the ultimate is worth it for sure. The massage chair is very good also that you sit in while getting the pedicure done. They use sterile tools and the place is spotless! I am so pleased ! I also got a gel manicure !! Will come back for sure

Overall a good experience, clean and friendly. It was busy came in 1230 and told me to come back at 1pm and then waited another 25 minutes, which was really irritating since I rushed to make it back on time. Nevertheless, I went forward the pedicure was good, good massage, and then I got started with my first ever gel install. I already knew once she didn't clean around my cuticles and stuff that any work she did wouldn't look as good. As she did the extensions, I did show her my cuticles, and she said no problem. it's possible there was a language barrier, but still 150 dollars later, I expected amazing work. Would I recommend yes, but maybe not the gel nails unless there is someone else there who does a better job, and I just don't know about it? I would've loved to give a 5-star rating, but I wasn't happy with my nails, and after 3 hours in a nail salon, I had to go.

Well.. I don't usually write reviews like this but I cannot help myself about this place. I am so disappointed as I mostly read good/positive reviews before I walked in for an appointment. First of all, I had two things done - gel nails and full arm wax.

Let me start with nails. I specifically told the lady that I had just got a manicure done so I only needed gel nail color applied -the lady disagreed and said that manicure "has to be included". I said okay and went on to ask if she could paint my nails as close to the skin as possible (which I always do and leave with a positive experience in different nail salons). The lady opposed again (stating that color getting too close to the skin is a problem) and actually painted my nails (mind you this is color red) veery away from where the skin beings - so now my nails look like they had been done last week.

Nails aside, the real problem occurred with the arm wax. The same lady did not seem to know what she was doing in the first place. She did an extremely messy job where she would apply the wax partially in a weird order, then while she was trying to wax one part of my arm, the wax on the other side would get dried up and stuck to the skin, and she would get a paper towel with baby oil and literally rub my skin to get the dried wax off my arm. Of course, the hair was still there because there was no actual waxing done. I did mention and show the hair that was left there in the middle of my arm, then to remove it, she would apply wax again on the OILY area, which made no difference because wax does not work with oil!? Anyway, same thing with the other arm. When she was done, to get of the remaining wax still stuck on my arm, she continued with the paper towel rubbing, which really hurt and left both my arms in small bruises. On top of that, at the very end, she wanted to put powder on paper towel to remove excess oil, I said I did not want it because I was wearing all black colors work outfit (and going back to work after) but she did it anyway and got my black trousers all in white powder, which I spent a while trying to unsuccessfully remove!

At the cashier when I was making a payment, I still tipped the lady $10. BUT she did not like the amount and said "usually it is %20 tip". I asked "am I required to pay %20 tip when I REALLY did not like the job ?" and she insisted! I ended up just paying the amount I owed for the "services I received" and still a $10 tip.

Again, I usually take these disappointments very easily and do not complain about them but this place has been my worst experience in a...
