i consider this building to be a half-luxury experience. my mom lives in a related management building and it's more attentive. london terrace has a small cute gym which is great but after paying an extra $25 a month membership it should be accessible 24hours not just until midnight. we used to have access to the building's olympic sized swimming pool but then it was taken away from us along with the sundeck (pictured in image 4 - which should be removed because that is only for the TOWERS not LT GARDENS) - only those who bought apts in the london terrace towers have access now. this really sucks. i even knew an autistic boy who LOVED to go to the pool with his father every day and they wouldn't even make an exception for them. i thought that was a bit heartless. the doormen don't open the door for you, which i suppose i half understand because of the setup of the awning entrances - they sit behind a desk and would have to open two doors to get to you so maybe the building was originally designed that way but it still is a terrible inconvenience. they are also told not to help it seems. this is very annoying if you come home from the airport or with tons of bags you're really struggling to walk in with, or bringing boxes from storage, etc. it really is a pain that they don't open the door for you. in order to use the trolly you need to get yourself into both doors then you need to LEAVE YOUR ID like some NYU dorm - like you're really going to steal their cart? 🙄 and then bring it all the way back downstairs to the doorman desk and retrieve your ID - would you call that luxury? 🤔 seems more convenient for the staff than the tenants. i have 2x tried to call ahead of time to receive assistance from a rover and was told they were in between a shift change and had no one available to help me come in with some boxes and bags i had - and it was in the early afternoon, not at a crazy time. so i've stopped bothering and just suffer from numb arm syndrome. the laundry rooms need serious cleaning and the doors need repainting. i know it might be a hassle but cmon guys, for the rents you charge? i shouldn't be looking at clumps of dust balls and soot behind all the machines when i pay 4G a month (and a lot of people pay a lot more in rent) i also don't want to be breathing dust in - it's not good for one's health... delivery people are constantly going up the wrong elevator. all the doormen have to do is pay extra attention after they buzz them in to make sure they go in the right direction... but this still happens. i have also had the wrong delivery people come to my door and i tell them to go back downstairs and go back up the correct elevator. i also wish the building would make an effort to go more green / eco friendly. it would be great if they added fabric&textile recycling bins for instance. i hope rose associates takes these comments seriously into consideration and comes up with solutions that don't also come with another rent hike ( like when they charged only some tenants extra rent each month for fixing some bricks on the outside of the building 🙄) like perhaps hire more...
Read moreYears late in writing this review..but I was reminded to do so because even several years after I moved out, the doormen still remember me and my name! I LOVED living at LTG. The building is like a vertical community. The architecture/design helps, even though it's a massive complex/building, there are only 6 units or less per floor so you get to know your neighbors which is great. The doormen (as mentioned) and other staff, from leasing to maintenance are extremely helpful, available and super easy to work with. Their policies, procedures and experience make sense! I love the layouts, huge closets, separate showers from tubs...pre-war solid construction, utilities included, gym and more....
Read moreThe buildings are maintained very well and the staff if extremely responsive. The buildings are also very safe having doormen and rovers to help where necessary. The size of the rooms is another plus as these are pre-war structures. The neighbourhood is full of art galleries and Chelsea is adjacent to ther hot spots like th ere Meat Packing area and Tribecca. - From a verified resident on...
