I've been here a couple times before and everything was fine. But today I went and ordered a bagel sandwich with turkey bacon. (The receipt was correct btw.) I have a religious restriction and can't eat regular bacon so I've never had it and didn't know what the texture is like. I ate half of it before I realized they put regular bacon on it instead. After panicking and vomiting, I went back to the store to get my money back. The women at the counter were pretty rude. It took a while for them to apologize (which they should have done immediately in my opinion) and then they said they couldn't give me a refund because I already ate half of it. Yeah I ate half of it because you told me it was what I ordered, and then I subsequently puked all of it up when I realized what it was. Then they said they couldn't give me a refund because I paid with a card and their machine doesn't refund cards. Fine. So they offered store credit, but because I'm never coming back to this establishment again, I just requested a muffin instead. I literally never complain about customer service- but in my opinion, giving the wrong order to somebody with a religious restriction is not a minor error at all. The staff should have handled this better. I'm still really upset about accidentally violating my religious restriction, and the staff's insensitivity just made everything worse. I'd give 0 stars if I could, not only for the mistake but also because of the terrible customer service. Never coming back here.

I got the Geneva which was pretty good! A large and full breakfast bagel and a good value for the price (little under $9). I thought it would be cheddar cheese because of the photo but turns out it was Swiss- which to some degree is my own fault for not reading carefully but the words are also kind of small for how high up the menu is posted. I’m not a fan of Swiss cheese but otherwise it was a good bagel! I saw people ordering coffee but couldn’t really figure out what their coffee options are because there was no coffee menu posted. Once I got home I double checked and their full menu is listed online with all of their options. I would recommend checking the online menu before going since the in-store menu is a little hard to read and it isn’t comprehensive. It seemed like there was a good amount of seating inside if you wanted to eat there, but it’s kind of cafeteria style with large bench tables

Solid spot. Bagels on the chewier side (a bit too chewy for my preference). Less of a local spot, seemed like mostly tourists on a Saturday afternoon visit. I got the walnut cinnamon cream cheese on French toast bagel and The Max (whitefish salad, tomato, onion) on everything bagel. The whitefish was honestly one of the best tasting I’ve had, but they were quite conservative with the amount of whitefish they put on the bagel, sadly. Really wish they put a bigger portion on, but the flavour was there for sure (a bit sweet (which was unique to me) and not overly fishy). There was also ample seating inside, no wait on a Saturday early afternoon, and expansive menu. Good spot but probably wouldn’t venture out of my way to come here (except for maybe buying just a tub of that whitefish salad haha).

The quality here has really gone down immensely over the years and the prices have only gone up. It's been well over a year now since the last time they had someone working there who knew how to cook eggs properly. Don't bother asking for them to be made a certain way, you will always end up with a scrambled mess of overcooked eggs no matter what.

On my most recent order, I asked for over-easy eggs with bacon, sausage and home fries. The eggs were so horribly cooked that it honestly felt like a slap in the face for the cook to put them in there. The yolks were completely broken before they even entered the platter and all that remained of it was a small layer of fully cooked yolk on top of a ridiculously overcooked egg white.

The bacon was tough and tasted old, and the sausage was cold/mushy. They even used to give you two whole sausage links cut in half down the center. Now they've gone full cheapo and only give you one and a half. Ridiculous!

The home fries were possibly the worst part. They used to be fluffy, buttery and tasted very fresh. Now they give you something that not only resembles a pudding, but tastes extremely SOUR for some reason. You don't taste potatoes, you don't taste vegetables, and you don't taste any spices - just something really, really sour.

I suppose the only thing this place has going for it is the bagels/toast/butter. Those are still as delicious as they were on day one.

I keep going back every once in a while hoping that things will have returned to how they were back when it first opened, but it only gets worse and worse each time. Unfortunately I will not ever be returning again. It's sad too because I used to go here every single morning on my way...

Let me start by saying that as a native New Yorker, these bagels are 10/10. Unfortunately the bagels arent good enough to overlook the overall experience.

I gave this place 3 chances before writing this review and every single time they got my order wrong. First time, they completely messed up one of the breakfast sandwiches and I didn't know until we got all the way home. We had to toss the sandwich and one guest went without breakfast. The second time, they completely missed one of my sandwiches and made the other wrong even though I repeated the order 2x and it was repeated back to me. Last visit, I took the safer route and ordered a bakers dozen and instead of them telling me they were out of a few of my choices, they threw in whatever replacement bagels they felt were a good substitute. They were not good substitutes at all and now I'm sitting on 7 bagels no one eats and we’re 2 hours away. $30 down the drain. On top of it all, the staff seems to constantly visibly annoyed with any sort of communication with guests. Anything beyond a basic bagel and cream cheese seems to an inconvenience for them.

As someone who runs an establishment in NYC, the overall hospitality in this place is severely lacking, leaving much to be desired. Michelin star to food truck, first and last impressions are everything and this place misses all the right marks. Hopefully they can turn it around because this place has potential but for now I think we’ll stick to other bagel establishments...
