Mei "MAY" was my technician. Unfortunately, she: a) rushed me in choosing my colors, 2) tried to electrically sand down my nail beds with a coarse grain--I saw layers of precious nail layers fly off into thin air, 3) expected me to hold myself in awkward positions for only her comfort, 4) gaslighted me when I pointed out the bottle's color didn't match the actual polish, and 5) demo'ed that she really didn't know how UV lamps work. The pedicure also came out really bumpy (I had to apply another top coat at home, and even then — See photos) At the end, I didn't have spares so I had to tip by Venmo, but the cashier JULIE literally breathed me over my shoulder to ensure I completed the Venmo transaction to their liking. I wanted to tip $10 =13.3% -- quite generous for an honestly-not-great-job. But instead Julie chided me for a 15% minimum ("$12" but really closer to $11.25). I told her that it wasn't the best job and they could either: a) let me tip what I thought was more than fair, or b) not have me come back as PAYING CUSTOMER over TWO dollars. Disappointing but also kind of stupid. Their business model seemed shortsightedly focused on high turnover and perhaps premature favoritism (as other reviewers have pointed out) over a decent experience. I recently just moved to Hudson Yards and I was ready to throw away $$$$ to find my new regular nail-salon place. But sadly, I didn't find that place here. The massage chairs were nice, I guess (but also run down).

I normally do not leave review online but in this situation I felt an urge to write one since I do not want someone else to go through the similar experience. First of all very bias treatment, they should learn to treat all customers in an equal manner. Low quality service. I went here to get the regular manicure and pedicure and the service sucks. The lady, named ā€œ Mayā€ was asking me to pay in the middle of doing my manicure and the polish I paid extra money for, it just came up after a single day. For the pedicure, all in rush and very ignorant of the lady. The service was really disappointing, done in a rush so that they can take other customer. I understand as a business they want to get as much customer as possible but that does not mean they can take our money and not even provide the service we deserve. Never ever going back in my life. As an Asian myself, thank you for that worst experience possible coming from my fellow Asians.

*AMAZING* Ok, I've tried a few places in hell's kitchen/midtown, but have never been happy...I spent like an hour trying to read reviews and find another place to try which is how I came across Miss Bliss and WOW, they blew my expectations out of the water! I came in with clean nails (so I can't speak to their removal process) and got dip with tips. Tina NAILED IT (pun 100% not intended, I'm not that person) - she was so incredibly detail orientated, took her time to do it right, and listened to my feedback openly (yes, I'm THAT person). The place was quiet and clean and the technicians were polite and friendly. Also they give the kind of massage that puts you to sleep! Highly recommend a visit

With nail salons I give it at least two visits for consistency of both quality of nails and experience. This place is professional!! One of the best I’ve been to in the 8 yrs I’ve lived in NY.

The employees are super nice, professional, and helpful. Both times I got the same treatment. They are following all COVID requirements- temp check and put alcohol in your hands when you walk in. Take your jacket off for you and take your shoes. Massage while your nails dry out your shoes back on for you - even help you out your socks on! So nice!

Nail quality on point! My powder gel lasted almost 4 weeks without 1 chip or the weird lift that happens when it’s too thick and grows out to then gets stuck in you hair when you’re trying to wash it in the shower. Both times I got a different nail tech and both times the same process was taken to ensure perfection. 3 coats to make sure the color is what you want, super clean cuticles, perfect shape...etc.

Highly recommend this place! I’ve found my new go to spot now that I’ve moved to Hudson...

I came here about a couple of weeks ago, and for the amount I spent ($175 plus tip), the customer service could have been much better. The final touches of my manicure were rushed. As soon as I washed my hands, she met me coming back from the sink while I was still standing applying lotion and half massaging my hands. What in the world? Also, after I selected which pedicure I wanted, the woman who was acting as the receptionist prints out a ticket of what would be my final cost of everything. Excuse me? I did not ask for this, and never have I ever been to a nail salon (this was actually my second time coming here) where they bring a cost ticket to you to inform you of what you will need to pay at the end, as if I would have trouble affording it. Then once I went to the register to pay, she was pushy about the tip. I do not know if they were racially profiling me or not (though I feel that they were) but I will never return to this...
