I am honestly baffled that this section of the hike even exists, but I love it. Also known as “The Chains” — this extremely steep section requires slow down climbing to access Mooney Falls. Oh, and to add another element, the second half of the down climb is also wet and slippery due to the intense mist from the falls. It’s crazy, but I’m here for it. 🤣

Some people say it’s crazy, fewer people say it’s not that bad… either way, l’m here for it.

If you are reading this please know that there didn’t seem to be any signage on the outside of the building . This means nothing at the top of the entrance or hanging down above the sidewalk . There is a sign inside way up on top of the wall . This doesn’t do much good . Very difficult to know if you are in the right place . Then once you are in hard to know where to go next and to what floor or how to get to elevator . Finally found a sign in the elevator that says chain theater 3rd floor . However the buttons have 3E & 3W as two different buttons .. wonder which one ? I get off on three to an empty room . Clearly the wrong place . Another guy in the elevator was trying to get to The Tank theater was also lost . Finally see a guy that says the show I want is on 4 even though inside elevator says 3 . Another person was lost too . When I Arrive to the theater I’m now in annoyed mood because it shouldn’t have been this hard . Show started 15 minutes late as well . Please make signage more clear for everyone , Chain Theater . If not , maybe have someone downstairs greeting /directing patrons ?

Our experience with Chain Theatre was a nightmare. The management subjected us to daily harassment, intimidation, and what felt like money extortion — we only got our deposit back after our lawyer stepped in. I have never in the past, and never again since, experienced such unprofessional and hostile treatment in the New York theater scene.

Thankfully, our production Five Evenings was still a sold-out success, and when we moved our second run to the West End Theater, the difference was night and day — professional, supportive, and truly artist-friendly. If you’re considering Chain Theatre, think twice and take your work somewhere that...

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Christina, Kirk, and Rick as part of this year’s Chain Film Festival and it was an absolute blast. The whole team does an incredible job championing everyone’s work and creating a community of artists, actors, and filmmakers to come together. This year there were two theaters, so that every filmmaker had a quality time slot. There were also talk-backs offered after every show, so everyone had a chance to discuss their work, and were asked insightful, thoughtful questions. I can’t wait to see what’s next for them but this is the...
