SO FUN! i admit i was skeptical at first due to the one star reviews saying the staff were unwelcoming and rude. however, my friend and i gave this place a chance and it was well worth it! we made a reservation for sunday and they were very accommodating when we told them we would be late by a few minutes. they didn’t mind at all! google maps and apple maps show the wrong location so it took us a moment to realize where the place was, but we found it after 2 minutes 😅😅! once we went inside we were greeted by sweet air conditioning and a staff member who handed us “menus” with prices of everything. they showed us to two seats by a window overlooking the street which was lovely honestly i liked the light and the view very much! they didn’t tell or show us what to do, but i looked up videos a few days before so i’d know how everything works. my friend and i chose to do claw clips and then picked out some frosting-like glue and picked up a dish to collect charms with. they had a WHOLE WALL of charms to choose from!! and we could use as many as we wanted!! it was so fun going through the charms and deciding what we wanted to use. we each did one side of our claw clips then let them dry as we chose new frosting glue and charms for the other sides. the frosting glue doesn’t harden too fast but apparently it takes 5 days before it fully dries. we let ours sit for like 7 or so minutes as we picked new materials and by then the frosting glue didn’t smudge unless we poked at it so we were safe to do the other side. we then checked out and i admit i was nervous for this. i didn’t know if we’d be charged for some charms or what but it ended up being only $25.04 for me and the same price for my friend. in my eyes that’s a very fair price for what we got. the creations were taped into boxes so they’d be secure when we were walking and they stayed in place even on the car ride! my friend and i absolutely LOVED this place and would totally go back. it was crowded but not packed but it filled up more around the time we left (around 2:00). we stayed for about an hour and a half or so and the staff didn’t rush us. the staff weren’t rude at all, but not perfect either. they didn’t tell us how the process worked but they’d help if we asked for something or had a question and they helped us check out and pack up our creations. they weren’t enthusiastic or friendly per se but they weren’t mean. they were chill and pretty blunt. so overall, i’d highly recommend this 100% and i will for sure be going back with more friends. the options are endless here and it’s so incredibly fun for any age! the store isn’t easy to find at first and you get no introduction to the process but once you figure it out (which there are examples around so you can see what the frosting glue is meant for) it’s super fun! great activity will be going back!!

ATTENTION: PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING THIS STORE. The store is as advertised. They have phone cases, charms, etc. They have a wide variety of items as well. But wow. I have never been to a store where employees have been THIS upfront and rude - it’s borderline abusive the way they treat customers. Manager(s) here: PLEASE RETRAIN OR REHIRE YOUR EMPLOYEES. Other reviews are also mentioning how employees here are vague, rude, and borderline useless. First, we were greeted with an eye roll. When the lady up front realized we did not speak Mandarin, she rolled her eyes again and sighed. Second, when my sister went up to an employee to ask a question, the employee acknowledged her, rolled her eyes again, and WALKED AWAY in the other direction. She COMPLETELY ignored her after acknowledging her question. Third, the employees are constantly bickering and arguing. While we were decorating, an employee in the bathroom was screaming to another employee who was waiting outside the door. It was extremely unpleasant, and the little toddlers/children here were visibly upset by this. Fourth, when we asked if they had a different type of string, they said no. However, IMMEDIATELY after saying no, the employee pulled out a whole TRAY of the strings we were looking for, and then locked them up somewhere else. I understand if supply is an issue, but at least explain to your customers before blatantly putting away an item they had JUST asked you about. And of course, when we asked them why they put the strings away, they rolled their eyes and walked away. There are many more issues I experienced with these two employees in a maybe 45 minute timeframe. Monster DIY is a cool store that has exactly what you come here for. But I am not lying when I say that the customer service I experienced here was the worst I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to late night fast food drive thrus - it’s worse than that. DO NOT VISIT. Go to Cutes House instead, or buy your own charms and DIY at home. This place is NOT worth your energy, and the employees will treat you HORRIBLY.

I celebrated my birthday here with a group of friends and we had a great experience! I was able to reserve a table for up to 8 people during their normal business hours by sending them a message on Instagram.

Once we arrived, the staff was very helpful and welcoming. They gave us a menu of the types of projects we could do, and there are a lot of examples of completed projects on display to get ideas and inspiration. There are a range of projects of different sizes and prices, so you can pick something within your budget or what you feel comfortable with. The hair clips set is a good deal at 5 for $15 (plus tax).

There are a lot of charms and materials to choose from, and you can pick out as much as you like as long as it fits on your project. Some of my friends had never used cream glue before, so the staff explained how to use it to us as well. There's no limit to how long you can spend working on your project, so everyone can take their time and relax. There are also blind boxes available for purchase if you want to add them to a larger project. We spent about 2 and a half hours here, from the start of our reservation until everyone had finished paying. The staff will pack them for you in specially sized boxes for each type of project and will secure the items with tape, to keep them safe so you can take them home without worry. Everyone had so much fun and was really happy with their projects at the end. Even if you're not confident in your creative skills, the staff is so helpful and the space is so inspiring that you're sure to come out with something cute!

I was a bit careless with my project, so I accidentally messed it up on my way home. I came in the next day and asked if I could use the same materials to fix it, and the staff was kind enough to help me pick the same colors and piping tip to make sure everything matched up. Now my project is fixed up and at home safe and sound. I will cherish it as a memento of a great birthday celebration at a wonderful place, and I can't wait to...
