DO NOT GO DO NOT GO DO NOT GO
Last Sunday, I purchased some bread and a chocolate cake from this bakery with the help of Danny. However, when I got home, I found that the cake was not in my bag. My car was parked right in front, and I even waited in the car for ten minutes for my husband, yet no one came out to give me the forgotten cake.
Today (Friday), after finishing work, I called the bakery to address this issue, requesting a partial refund or the option to pick up another chocolate cake on Sunday. Danny answered the phone and said he remembered me, but he told me he couldn’t process the refund right away and advised me to come in on Sunday during his shift. I agreed and planned to come by between 10 am-4 pm as we discussed.
However, five minutes later, Danny called back saying he could neither refund nor replace the cake and that I would have to speak with his manager. I agreed to this, assuming I could handle it on Sunday. But then, another employee took over the call with a rude attitude, claiming that since five days had passed, they couldn’t locate my receipt, so they wouldn’t be able to refund or provide the cake.
As a restaurant owner in Manhattan, I understand how all POS systems can retrieve previous sales records. Saying they “can’t find the receipt” is simply untrue. Despite this, I approached them in a friendly manner, just hoping they’d resolve the issue properly.
This evasive and unprofessional attitude has left me deeply disappointed in this establishment. If both their employees and management treat customers with such indifference, I sincerely wish them the best in improving their approach. Rather than continue this back-and-forth, I’ve chosen to simply dispute the charge with my bank, which would be...

Read moreHorrible experience at this store. First i spend nearly every other day about $30 on breakfast for my team. And i get to the register, the asian guy and the hispanic girl does not call nobody on line to ring, i had to wait until they decide who wants to ring. Then they did not pack the coffee for me and just shoved the coffee to me, and i had to pack myself and the coffee spilled i asked for a new cup and they used the same cup, are you as a company really that cheap? And after all that arguing, i asked for a manager and conveniently he/she was bot in… Really? Then the indian girl, with the oversized eyes, came to the register and gave me the dirtiest look in life and i blatantly told her not to give me a dirty look like that and she put up a verbal fight with me. If they are used to people who do not speak proper english, u will encounter one one day! I like the TLJ on Roosevelt Ave better, because the manager at that location makes his presence know and show his face and there is never an issue who rings, it just happened i was at that part of the town, this is not the first time that i had a bad experience at the union street location!!! I need to let you know how cheap you guys are and unprofessional and at the union str location they never say thank you after you pay. Get new management to train them or replace the management team, it starts from the top leaders, you set the example! And i see why tou have such low...
