I just moved to the neighborhood and took a few coats there and they did a great job. I brought them a very delicate 1930s gown and asked if they could clean it, the woman said absolutely and we went over the several areas of spots together. Then the guy who works there called me to tell me that they couldn't clean it because a large piece of velvet trim had come undone, when I pointed out that this was not the same condition as when I brought it in, he laughed and said it was untrue although he was not there and it makes no sense as to why they would accept it in such state. I agreed to have their tailor fix it in order to have it cleaned. 9 days later, my dress is finally ready. I go to pick it up and the dress now has many holes (all new) scattered throughout as well as most of the original spots. The woman had the nerve to tell me that she was concerned that cleaning it may do damage, although she voiced no concerns to me when I brought her the dress. I will never go back to this cleaners. They may be competent with small, basic jobs, but if you have something delicate or of value -...
Read moreI've gone here a few times, and the service is GREAT! The guy at the front is very personable and always happy to take back clothes free of charge in case they've missed a spot. Dry cleaning is also relatively fast.
I'm knocking off one star is because of price and the fact that I've had to bring back clothes twice now.
Price - Not sure if this is the standard in NYC, but it cost me $35 to get a linen dress ($18), pants and crop top ($8.50 each) dry cleaned. That feels a little over the top, unless dry cleaning pricing is dependent on fabric and linen happens to be more pricey.
Thoroughness - Given the price, I'd expect my clothes to be clean. We indicated where the stains were before the cleaning, and they were still there when I picked up. Previously, I brought in cashmere pants and there was a hole in them when I picked up. Both times, they happily took them...
Read moreHands down the best cleaners ever. Not only do they do an excellent job, but the owner Moshe is the nicest guy and super professional. My favorite coat was stolen while hanging at the back of the shop (first time this has ever happened to them and has since been rectified - they’re adding a gate). Moshe was quick to contact me, explain the entire situation, what they’re doing to ensure it doesn’t happen again in the future, and offered full reimbursement for my coat. I’m still devastated as it was a limited edition color but I feel much better due to how Moshe promptly handled the issue. My husband and I will continue to use them for all our...
