I always go here to get my skincare routine products. I go once every few months, sometimes every month the if they something I like on sale. Most of the products are good for my skin. I have semi-sensitive skin. However this store really needs to improve their customer's service skills. The first time I went when the store first opened up in Flushing, the I’ve never seen her again and after that some of the staff there have little clues about their own products and poor identifying the customer's needs, and recommending appropriate products for them. Many times when I went there, the salespeople were just following me around, and asked me if needed help, some just stayed their distance, and when I asked them, they just read what was on the product packet like a robot. Just today, hallelujah! I met another staff member who was very knowledgeable, she gave me honest recommendations of the products that were best for my skin type. I decided to try on the new products she recommended. However, I was disappointed with how they poorly handled a situation today when one of the prices of the products I bought was different from what was displayed. I brought it up to the cashier and the salesperson who helped me with it. She went to ask her manager and when she returned she played dumb and said it was not the right price. I asked them if they can give me the price as what was displayed (it was a $10 difference). I was a salesperson at a cooperating store before too and we made a mistake with the product’s price displayed, we always give the customers the price they saw on the displayed. But the staff members here didn't. I just feel it was poorly handled. I didn't have time to argue with them and I didn’t want to look petty. I felt I was being tricked into buying products and lied to. The girl who was helping me spent a decent amount of time with me in front of the product display, she could have noticed the wrong tag and prices that were wrongly displayed. Credibility...
Read moreUpdate: (11/02/18) I return to the store today and went to the front to make sure Vic was working. Once again very pleasing conversation and advice he gave to me. Also, he answered all my question and concerns about the store's products. I like how he has tried most of the products in the store to be knowledgeable about sensitive skin. I would really recommend going to the store and speak with Vic, he works weekends (Fri- Sun). I bought the Super Aqua Max collection (about $100) as this product made my skin feel soft, smooth, radiant and definitely did not irritate my skin.
(10/14/18) After meeting one of the key holder name Vic, I felt more like a valuable customer to the store. Vic gave me a few samples to try specifically for sensitive skin. I am glad my interactions with him was more pleasant than the cashier yesterday. As a customer who has gone to this location since it open, I was glad that Vic didn't not just stated the policy to me but actually try to make up for his co-workers mistake. This made me want to give the store another try just definitely keeping the receipt and the policy in mind. In order for me not to have to keep products I won't be using or getting my sensitive skin damage.
I just went to this location where I have my membership from and also the only store I buy my face products from. But what a horrible experience, after having one of their employees sold me a product which caused my face to burst out in acné!!! I was told I couldn't get either a refund or store credit because it was past the certain days. The cashier lady said only the manager can authorize this and I ask may I speak to the manager then. I understand policy but store credit, maybe not all but some due to their employees mistake that just horrendous. I will be going tomorrow hopefully the manager is there and can fix this or I would NEVER go back to this store again or even recommend it to my...
Read moreVery poor experience with a return. Sold a defective product and the staff refused refund, given a paper receipt which faded within the month. Had the number next to the barcode remain but was told it wasn't sufficient. Staff was nice but overall policy was crummy. Great if they have a more sturdy return methods. Based on principle won't be shopping here any more. Losing $10 to a piece of paper is not a great experience. Overall the skin care is not great when comparing to the other stores and products in the neighborhood. Would recommend trying other stores like Tesc or Face Shop. Just try nature republics nail polish to realize how inferior their products are (very...
