This is my very first time getting my nails done at a salon. I usually do my own nails because I am nervous someone would trim my cuticles incorrectly and I would end up bleeding.
The nail tech I had do an amazing job with my cuticles. I wanted a gradient design which I understand from personal experience that it’s a little difficult to have a seamless blending. Close up you can see the imperfections but it’s fine from afar. I could tell she was putting in a lot of effort to blending and I really appreciate that! But that ended up with a lot of layers and the end result was thicker and some lumpiness. Especially on my left ring finger :( Or maybe the lumpiness is from the glitter layer.
Other then the lumpiness and thicker than I prefer; it’s pretty and I am happy she didn’t rush the process! Also she was gentle with my hands and nails.
Side note, my nail tech didn’t speak much English but I came with my friend that spoke mandarin so she helped me translated. The nail tech my friend had did speak English though. Also the egg designs she got is so cute! Total for my nails were $40 and $60 for my friend who got the eggs. (Not...
Read moreI wish I could give them 0 stars. I went there 2 days ago for a pedicure, manicure, and a very basic gel extensions. I had called them beforehand and nobody told me the accurate pricing of the nails I wanted. They charged me $120 for the most basic french nails. It turned out nice but not worth that much. They did not tell me until last minute that tips were mandatory. When i gave them their tips they refused to take it because they had a 15% tips policy that nobody told me when I called. When I decided to confront about that, they started to tell me how every restaurant around me has option for tips and argued that I have to give them 15%. My friend went there with me and in the middle of her manicure, the manager kept forcing her to pay first as if she wanted to run away without paying. They have a very bad customer service and mediocre nail skills. Not to mention, they never communicate properly with customers. I have seen another review where a customer faced similar issues with tips and the reply said tips were not mandatory. Then how come we were forced to pay the amount...

Regardless of how long a customer has been going to them or the amount of money with which said customer has patronized them.
I moved to Flushing from Brooklyn a year ago and have been looking for a new nail salon ever since, however, the amount of nail salons in my neighborhood that are willing to cater to ✋🏾 customers are few. So I’ve stuck with them for about a year because although rude and prejudiced, at least they do nails well, but today was my last day.
The attitudes, nasty looks, refusal of services one week due to “lack of appointments” but willingness to service other weeks is not only tiresome, but also obvious.
Keep in mind, they are not inexpensive and at times tell their customers how much to tip. I’ll gladly take my business where I’m wanted. It’s just unfortunate that in my own neighborhood, where I pay taxes, I’m not able to patronize many businesses because of this same type...
